@echipiuk But a referendum to separate isn't merely voicing a concern. If enough people actually vote yes and this moves forward there needs to be a plan.
Not to mention an actually fully costed, fully detailed plan (with references) might actually sway some people.
@Zone3Garden Stop being obtuse.
The judge made a ruling on one, ONE, petition that proposed major constitutional changes, and said that that one, ONE, petition required a duty to consult before collecting signatures.
@JamesDeanBoyd@JlbickfordJohn@DennisKalma Not to mention line items like National Defence: $1-2 billion setup. Where do those come from? What are we getting for that money?
No notes or explanation.
@JlbickfordJohn@JamesDeanBoyd@DennisKalma Everyone keeps saying "Read the VoF..."
I have. The numbers have no backing. If there are sources that back up the numbers: show them!
THAT would make the document fully costed.
@Jagermeis7er@FrankFrank97599@WeAreCanProud Okay, so you're going to completely overlook the "fascist" (your word) consulting fee to Smith's husband, who is not an expert by any reasonable definition?
@stuartlosaltos But there is a difference between a gathering in a city managed park (fully public, open to everyone at all times) and a conference room in a city managed hotel (open to the public for rental). The Charter doesn't require the state to rent you a conference room.
@Jagermeis7er@FrankFrank97599@WeAreCanProud $50 million to start to plan.
$1.6 million in advertising.
Consulting the Premier's husband because he plays with trains.
13 vice presidents.
Yes, the differences are quite apparent. Can you see the ways they are the same?
@albertaradios One could say this means the Province (which provides funding and health care resources to, in theory, mitigate homelessness) has 15000+ homeless, 700+ deaths, 300+ amputated, and no solid, reliable plan to make things better.
Jokes, you say? No, this is catastrophic!
@ArmourofGod_7@StayFreeAlberta Uh, no.
1. I'm not at all convinced we would have more money after separation.
2. I'm definitely not convinced we will have less corruption after separation.
3. Smith was supposed to have fixed health care long ago, but instead keeps spending money on making things worse.
@boehmerB I'd say everyone who didn't vote (nearly everyone for sure) chose to let the rest of the population decide. So your presentation of the "support" these mayors received is a little disingenuous.
