@CHI2COL @PhilMickelson Yup...so individuals are required to present themselves to a US Customs agent or a CBP officer at a port of entry where they are taken into custody where they see an immigration judged or removed. Those who cross between points of entry are removed or referred to the US Attorneys

@CHI2COL @PhilMickelson Saying people lack empathy and compassion because they didn’t “take them in” is such a silly argument. A community rallied around a group of strangers providing them with food, shelter and a sense of belonging. That’s a positive. Even if it was short lived.

At some point, people like you will have to come to grips with the fact that you can’t just pick and choose parts of a story. Many migrants remain on the island and have found employment. But wouldn’t know that
