Today we celebrate the birthday of Black liberation leader Coretta Scott King! Born in rural Alabama, King became involved in struggle during her university years at Antioch College in Ohio, when the racism she experienced there propelled her to engage in student activism.
…it was her influence that pushed Martin Luther King Jr., her husband, whom she met when they were both students in Boston, toward the more radical ideas he held toward the end of his life.
