Mary Trump: "Donald was never as wealthy as he claimed to be. His wealth came exclusively from my grandfather. He received over $400 M. This was not because he was some savvy brilliant businessman.
We are seeing the same thing with his children. It's not that they are savvy or have any specialized skills or knowledge. They happen to be related to people who have power and connections. And that's what they are trading in on."
President Clinton's message on America 250.
"America is bigger than anybody's personal hopes and dreams. The country will survive by the freedom to speak, freedom to vote, freedom to be active in politics. I am grateful that I had a chance to make maximum use of the talents that God gave me to help other people."
New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can.
Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment.
A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
🚨BREAKING: An ICE agents just tried to claim they were conducting “targeted enforcement”… after pulling over a U.S. citizen, and demanding he prove he was a citizen, in Seattle, Washington.
In the video, the man explains he had just bought the car from a friend. Then he asks the agent:
“Would you mind explaining how this works? Do you just run the plates?”
The ICE agent responds:
“Uh… so we’re doing targeted enforcement.”
The man immediately asks:
“And you saw me come off of Home Depot?”
And the ICE agents went silent.
Because he realized he messed up.
“Targeted enforcement” isn’t a legal justification for pulling over a U.S. citizen.
Federal agents don’t get to stop people on a hunch, demand identification, and hope they find someone they can deport.
They need a lawful basis for the stop.
So, what exactly made this man a “target?”
His truck?
The Home Depot parking lot?
Or was it because he looked Hispanic?
Because if agents are stopping people based on their race, ethnicity, or perceived immigration status, that’s a constitutional violation… not “targeted enforcement.”
The Constitution applies to ICE, too.
And if your entire justification falls apart the second someone asks, “Why did you stop me?”
It becomes pretty clear you never had one to begin with.
BREAKING: Democratic Congressman Jared Huffman just EXPOSED how Trump hijacked our nation’s 250th anniversary celebration and turned it into a political project to enrich himself.
Retweet so every American sees this blatant corruption.
Elon, I can give you many, many names of people who have died because of your aid cuts.:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because you stopped paying for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of your cuts in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after you interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when you cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to him.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge you: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
@JudiciaryDems Steve Bannon told Jeffrey Epstein about We Build the Wall launch
SB: "..have kobach and kolfage on site--I'm the chairman but I push those 2 plus the construction guy as national heroes--we started Memorial Day Friday after the courts closed..." https://t.co/49V0dIIHDT
@sandibachom When Steve Bannon started his We Build the Wall grift in 2019, he told Jeffrey Epstein: "I also can't seem like I'm running trumps nose in his own incompetence."
Bannon hid his involvement and tried to make Kris Kobach and Brian Kolfage national heroes. https://t.co/5r4XRd9RC1
@oldgrunt0351 @RYP__ Erik Prince is part of the We Build The Wall scam. Since Steve Bannon was part of Cambridge Analytica and Kris Kobach had access to nationwide voter data, how do you think they are using the WBTW donor data they collected?
BREAKING: Stunning new polling shows Donald Trump’s favorability has fallen by 10 points in Florida. Trump’s demise is promoting Democrats chances at retaking the Senate as Alex Vindman skyrockets in the polls.
Republicans want women to be silent about the suffering happening under GOP abortion bans.
I will never stop uplifting the voices of women. We have to make sure their stories are impossible to ignore.
An appropriate birthday present on my uncle's birthday today. A federal judge ruled that President Trump and the Kennedy Center Board acted unlawfully in renaming the Kennedy Center. The judge held that only Congress can change the Center's name and blocked the planned two-year closure. I know they'll probably appeal and the story isn't over, but for today let’s celebrate a great birthday gift.
🚨BREAKING: Rep. Ansari stepped out of Pam Bondi's Epstein files interview to tell the American people what's happening behind closed doors.
"The DOJ has been weaponized by Donald Trump to ensure that the most massive cover-up in American history is carried out."
She didn't stop there.
Ansari also accused James Comer, Mike Johnson, and Republican leadership of helping enable it.
They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. A total sham.
I spent two hours yesterday at Delaney Hall in Newark where 700 detainees are being held by ICE. What I saw and heard was horrific: worm-infested food, no access to medical care, no way to connect with their families.
Many of the detainees were lawful visa holders, including one 18-year-old who is missing her graduation and prom because she is being held in a cell.
This is not America. This is unacceptable, and it has to stop now.
