Broken Windows is apparently returning rapidly to New York as this encampment adjacent to one of the cities iconic tourist sites would seem to indicate. The Mayor is too young to remember the 80s and early 90s, and what a mess New York was. Those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it. The violence continues in Boston. 2 days after a person is shot and killed in broad daylight in Dorchester and Boston’s Finest are fired upon on Blue Hill Ave, another homicide. This time in Allston. The increasing levels of bloodshed and diminishing quality of life should have all concerned.

A 20-year-old stupidly thought it was okay to shoot at our cops. Thankfully, nobody was injured. But, to be clear, there is no punishment too swift or severe for anyone dumb enough to shoot at police officers. It’s NEVER okay to hurt, harm, disrespect or attempt to injure our cops.

Great day for the families of our fallen heroes with the passage of the Blue Star Plate law which creates a dedicated license plate in honor of police officers killed in the line of duty. When criminals start shooting at police officers, everyone should be outraged and concerned. Police officers have a right to go home safe to their families. They deserve to be protected. And elected officials should feel an obligation to speak out when our cops are attacked. Normalizing violence against our police officers puts everyone in peril.

Tragedy averted. Two of our officers were shot at earlier tonight. The windshield on their police cruiser was struck but, thankfully, no officers were injured. Suspect was placed in custody. But again we say it’s NEVER okay to hurt or harm our police officers.

The recent call by the @BOSCityCouncil to grow the fun by extending the last call for alcohol to 3AM certainly isn’t aging well, especially, in light of the recent report by @Allstate that lists Boston as one of UNSAFEST driving cities in the world. What’s not fun about giving people more time to consume more booze in a city consistently ranked among the worst for traffic and motor vehicle crashes.

On the Brooklyn Bridge, NYPD Emergency Service Unit officers spent nearly an hour patiently talking with a woman in crisis before seizing the right moment to pull her safely from the edge and save her life.

This wasn’t just courage—it was dedication, discipline, and extraordinary skill. These officers remind us of the compassion our cops have for those they serve.
