@MugenLord I think it's interesting that the contributions made by animators / directors for granted are mostly missing from these conversations. Yes, praising the author of the source material is commendable, but I think animators also have a vision that is just as worthy of praise.
@Critical_Scribe You can see it the better grasp of animation, moody lighting, cinematography in this clip. The camera emphasizes her floating away like a ghost, the suit makes her look like a glitch in reality, and she wipes her face away with her hand, it's all elegantly haunting.
@Critical_Scribe I don't think either is intrinsically bad, it's just somewhat of an awkward attempt at a transfer rather than adaptation. People who make the anime/film actually specialize in that medium while manga comic art is very different and requires storytelling through static panels.
@PajeetDeath I have so many questions. So many things are wrong with this.
What was that person looking for down there?
Did somebody else fall in?
This looks like a medical facility or something. Why
the hell is something like this here?
Did that person work there?
@PajeetDeath India looks like hell on Earth.
It reminds me of those dystopian movies like Robocop, Starship Troopers, or Dredd where people die horrific deaths regularly and bodies just lay everywhere.
I never imagined it would happen, but it already is, and it is in India.
@YuriTheScarling@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar This is akin to how the left changes the definitions of words like herd immunity, Asian, racism, gender to pushed forward their agenda. Only this time, it is not a word and words are just symbols, but imagery is arguably even closer to what it depicts as either icon or index.
@YuriTheScarling@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar What else are people supposed to think a drawing of a sexualized 10 year old is supposed to mean, depict, or represent besides a sexualized 10 year old?
I'd say you're the one doing the leftist thing of manipulating definitions to build a false consensus or narrative.
@rapistprincess Anyways, I think you're cute. I sorta think of you as being like Lenore from Castlevania. Petite. Red Hair. You even got Rapist Princess thing going on.
@rapistprincess Because my shoulders were locked into always being raised towards my ears, my muscles were locked and tightened and it just sorta made everything look "off" in photos, I didn't stand like a normal person like relaxed. People point out you look broad, but wonder if that's it.
@NaxWanderer@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar Guy unblocks just to call me retarded & reblocks. Doesn't even respond to argument. No one needs a psychologist to know if it's okay to be creeped out by others fantasizing about sexualizing 10 years via drawings. Emotional invalidation at best, gaslighting at worst imo.
@NaxWanderer@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar I don't even need to do any psychological research. If somebody sat beside you and confessed to you that they enjoy fantasizing about shooting up schools, engaging in terrorist attacks, or sexualizing children, then is it really not unreasonable to be concerned or creeped out?
@NaxWanderer@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar The thing that is concerning isn't that it's a fantasy, it's that the person indulging in that fantasy probably desires to do so because they want to do it in real life. That's the point of a fantasy or imagining stuff, it lets people experience things they can't in real life.
@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar Just because there isn't a victim, that doesn't mean that the desires aren't there.
This is the same as being creeped out by some random person at school entertaining fantasies about shooting everybody there. When people admire that, I raise an eyebrow.
@MadamSavvy@TemplarsRoar I'm sorry, but if somebody tells me they goon to cartoon characters of children, then I'm still going to think it's creepy and while I acknowledge there is a difference, I also understand the drawings aren't just drawings, they're representations/depictions of children.
@MadamSavvy@CertiNobody Aww... You have a new profile pic and it's actually cute. I was starting to miss you on my timeline and now you're back, maybe I just missed you because you looked different.
