@Machin3_Elf Whole host of reasons why a majority of houses don't have AC in the UK, but yeah, primary reasons:
- This level of heat is recent, and previously AC was not needed.
- Most people live in old, pre-AC buildings (pre electricity even)
- It's a "new" market so prices are high
@Machin3_Elf To maintain conservation area appearances (aka not modifying historic buildings, of which a LOT of British properties are). Solution to this is mobile units but their efficiency is limited in comparison, they take up space that UK homes lack and they are not cheap. There's a -
