THIS IS THE BIG STORY
It concerns the climate crisis
Corbyn had a good and necessarily radical plan
Johnson has no interest
The mainstream media find the climate crisis boring
God help humanity
@MarinaHyde Has anyone drawn the parallel yet between Boris and that Rick and Morty ep where the kid is left alone on a deserted planet, and twenty years later he's mysteriously king and all the fauna has his DNA?🤢
@renault_uk What terrible amount of mpg does this beast get? Meanwhile dozens of major cities and around 10 countries are going to be underwater by 2050 because westerners CBA to walk to work 🤬

@StevieHemmings @alex_e_king @cowsickresident me, an idiot: the enemy is the Tories and a decade of murderous austerity
you, a genius: the enemy is everyone else left of centre
This is the face of someone who just spent 9 hours in personal protective equipment moving critically ill Covid19 patients around London.
I feel broken - and we are only at the start. I am begging people, please please do social distancing and self isolation #covid19
@memorialhermann you have been emailing me saying I owe you money but I have never been to Texas. Please contact whoever this bill is for through some other means. PS. Charging people for healthcare is horrifying.
No impetus from this shower of a Tory govt (in fact, climate destruction seems to play well with their uninformed base) and no sign of an opposition any time soon.
Been thinking a lot about #ClimateEmergency and this shit-scary graph I saw somewhere. What on earth are we going to do? My house needs a new GCH boiler but can't in all good conscience install one, and no space for the alternatives
In the absence of a trolley place thing within 10ft of the car, left the Tesco trolley blocking in a stupid massive BMW SUV. Not quite one for fesshole but still a bit of #ClimateJustice mischief. Obv if the drug dealer came back I'd have been stabbed.
@JonboyMower@seriouslyFFS @LandRover_UK 45 users on honestjohns say the velar 2018 averages 33mpg.
The point is, even 50mpg is unacceptable when 10 Pacific island countries are about to cease to exist due to catastrophic climate chg.

FWIW, the most promising thing I'm trying to hold onto today is the likely election of @Keir_Starmer as labour leader. 4.5 years of him embarrassing Johnson, coming right up....
Hear hear. The #RejoinEU movement needs to focus on what can be shown to work. If we're careful and clever, we could be rejoining in 10-15 years, if not, it could be 50.
@CABowring@DomT_UWA @LandRover_UK Range rover velar 2018 - avg 33mpg
Toyota Aygo 2014 - avg 55mpg
Both figures from surveys of owners on honestjohn. Is the former 'very clean'?
Meanwhile road transport is about 23% of emissions globally
