Rectangle Sheik Player, I TO Sometimes, I make TikToks and I’m not half bad at it

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

Holy shit. @SlattyV3 put me on to the $6 biggie bag… BRO THIS IS THE BEST DEAL IN FOOD! ALL OF THIS FOR $12.72

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@riennezelda @Devyn_mp3 V2 model any time soon? I have anxiety around dropping cash on something that’s primed to be updated…

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

Should I switch to orca or go back to gcc? Nerfs just aren’t it.

@riennezelda @Devyn_mp3 tell me what to do 😭

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@fazeblackbean Ye, alpha males like this need to keep telling it how it is

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

Throwback to when the Olivia GUTS tour bus was parked right outside my apartment in Charlotte 2 years ago...

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@insomores

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@MitchHHL Can we get a version of the wireless dongle that is removable and sits inside the housing that you can plug into a GameCube? Or would this be infeasible

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@PracticalTAS 2 ip reac is allowed? Or no reac

[Devyn @Devyn_mp3]

( . Y . ) @Bot__Matt

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@bluerosetori <insert mald quote tweet here>

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@sp1nda_pgh Yeah, had a friend send it to me and was feeling annoyed. Definitely baited though and leaving this up so people can see I’m a dummy. Videos are probably done just because I haven’t played melee in a year, but maybe if my oem career takes off

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@grammy_money @bluerosetori I’ve been baited and thrown by emotions. Call me tilt master

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@FrogFromNS @ForrestSSBM nerfs have nothing to do with if a single char is strong. The philosophy is around the fact that because a GCC requires you to move a stick and the box doesn’t, it’s broken. All nerfs are around forcing the box user to take more actions than a GCC to “perfectly” match it

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@riennezelda @Cyrain So now I don’t play the game basically ever!

I have some friends I play with sometimes on netplay, sometimes I’ll switch to GCC and mess around.

🤷‍♀️ I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way.

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

I know it sounds so stupid but I literally haven’t touched the game in a year and it’s mostly due to the fact that nerfs are a shit show. 10 years of playing this game just to be forced out because people want to call me a cheater.

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

SSBM Majors are taking no responsibility for making sure people understand how to actually install box nerfs

I own multiple boxes that I can't put the nerfs on and the third that I own I spent 2 hours trying to get them to work.

Why is it so hard to just play my favorite game??

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@riennezelda @Cyrain To tie this back to everything,

I’m unhappy with how nerfs even are,
Using them on my preferred controllers is either impossible or not working on my setup, the BIGGEST TOURNAMENT IN THE WORLD hides their nerf rules in a google doc and links to someone else’s makeshift tutorial

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@riennezelda @Cyrain I hope you can see how from a pure game feel perspective, that abuse case is what created a perfect virtual GCC in my head and let me fall in love with the box.

Im playing on box because it’s comfortable, nerfs make me feel like im playing a different uncomfortable game

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@riennezelda @Cyrain I used to go down then up now I go down off wait to make sure I’m really off then up

You’re arguing the potential risks of having a digital input move the stick up for you through the gate, I’m saying the FEEL is the same on unnerfed and GCC and nerfed has created a new feel

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@Cyrain @riennezelda GCC -> push stick down, push stick up and b in one motion

Unnerfed -> push stick down, push stick up and b in one motion

Nerfed -> push stick down, quickly pull finger off down to let go of the stick while trying to hit up as fast as possible, then hit b

[Bot_Matt @Bot__Matt]

@Cyrain @riennezelda Because crossing over center requires you to rip your fingers off the old direction so quickly things like moonwalking, turn around needle cancel grab ledge with sheik, SHINO STALLING omg

Last time I tried nerfs just shino stalling killed me so many times.
