@MrJohnNicolson@theSNP You haven't demonstrated the separate accounting for funding and it's use.
What about non members who contributed to the 600k indy fund?
What about short money from Westminster?
None of that is from SNP members.
Here is an illustration of the lie Scots have lived with for centuries. While this pathetic half step away from royal tyranny is celebrated as evidence of the advanced level of English democracy in the 17th century, by that time Scotland had both popular sovereignty and mechanisms for its practical expression, three parliaments with different responsibilities, direct participation by the burghs and Extraordinarily progressive civil and human rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Claim of Right (in the same year as the Bill of Rights). The same as basic modern human rights, these were codified long before modern rights existed and they *still* far outperform any so called democratic rights allowed by the English state, upholding the authority of the people over government and courts, protecting against the abuses of the privileged and powerful enforcing the equality and impartiality of justice.
@BothVotesIndy It’s political narcissism not to work with other pro-indy parties.
Just 1 out of 56 regional seats for SNP, the entire regional list vote effectively thrown in the bin. Again.
SNP 1 & 2 puts party before country — the antithesis of the 2014 Yes movement.
Well done SNP and Greens but ...
625,949 SNP list votes got 1 seat.
Had the SNP gotten their 62+ seats they would have had no list seats.
If 625,949 votes had gone to other independence parties then that would have meant another 14 or so indy seats.
73 + 14 = 87 which is a super majority.
So what we predicted came true.
We lost a super majority to SNP 1&2.
We can only hope John Swinney gets that section 30 he promised.
The surprise is that Greens got 15 seats and Reform 15 rather than the 19 predicted.
I'll do another round of what if https://t.co/png8sbPzSE starting next weekend to see what we could have won.
I have no confidence that anything will change for the next 5 years.
Joanna is right, history tells us the same.

Asking for permission and playing by Westminster's rules (non international standard) is a dead end or at least another trap.
The 73 to 56 in Holyrood is now a 'political will' gap, on the record awaiting action on behalf of the people.

@GMac_Dod Party before country.
Convenience before learning the voting system.
I won't do the too stupid thing.
https://t.co/ydyjOAQjsb will have another go at promoting the lost votes issue.
Let's see if it will sink in for 2031.
@TheParty1sOver@JNHanvey@JamesMcLeirigh Some of the SNP 1&2 people know.
Others just follow the crowd.
https://t.co/ydyjOAQjsb were muted by the SNP account.
@rosscolquhoun Yet you promoted SNP 1&2 which is the very reason they will take seats in the Scottish parliament.
Should have been https://t.co/ydyjOAQjsb
Still we'll be expecting the section 30 first thing Monday morning eh?
