An “emptied treasury” would show a collapsing debt-to-GSDP ratio, ballooning deficits, and a shrinking economic base.

Instead, the data shows:
• Economy nearly doubled in size.
• Debt burden (as % of economy) remained stable.
• Fiscal parameters are improving from pandemic highs.
The treasury was not emptied but instead it was handed over with a much larger and more resilient economic foundation.

The absolute debt rose, but so did the state’s capacity to service it. The numbers simply do not support the “empty treasury” claim.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
