Day Seven - Merstham to Botley Hill. From wild morning storm to sublime autumnal evening and from a locked church to a welcoming inn, its been another glorious day. The hills get bigger and bigger but each one takes us nearer to Canterbury. We’re nearly half way there!
In the mean time, do make sure to visit our sister inn, The White Bear, which is only just down the road from Botley: https://t.co/LmRY76fGfi 🔥🍻🥂
In other exciting news, we are launching our brand new instant booking system online today at https://t.co/6wnqfkoRBa. 🙏🥰
Our wonderful team works so hard to make every visit to Botley Hill special but, before we head into a busy winter/festive season, we need to give them time to recharge. As such, we are closed from Oct 18 to Oct 26.

While Christmas Day is pretty much a full house already at Botley Hill Farmhouse, we will be running our Festive Dining menu from Dec 1 to Dec 23: https://t.co/t9ZcDs5ONB. Bring your friends and family to Botley Hill for delicious food, beautiful views and festive cheer. 🎄🎁🥰
A note to anyone coming out to the Bec Hill Climb tomorrow we have scaled the event down so no tea & cakes this year but please head down to @BotleyHill farmhouse near @titseybrewingco to get your refreshments. The Carnival will return Next Year we promise.
Botley Hill Farmhouse, Titsey, on the North Downs in Surrey: originally a 16th century farmhouse, now the highest pub in SE England. Popular with diners. Real ales are from the separately owned Titsey brewery.
Some pastoral idylls from today's adventure on the North Downs. Sooooo worth it for the amazing views and the welcome stop offs at friendly Botley Hill Inn and White Bear and the reminder that this is all less than an hour away 🌿🌍💙💚
This path from Botley Hill to Tatsfield is stunning, whatever the weather.
It’s a little bit tucked away and well off the usual dog walking/running/walking routes.
But I reckon it has some of the best views from the North Downs in East Surrey/West Kent.
@AboutEG@timolloyd Yes, we're at the highest point on the @NorthDownsWay but not quite the @SurreyHillsAONB. We occasionally contemplate adding a little extra height, but #MarbleArchMound is giving us second thoughts. 😁
Just returned from one of my favourite places @BotleyHill, after our first restaurant dining experience since the start of lockdown 1. It was absolutely splendid as usual: fantastic food with superb and friendly service - it (almost) felt like we were back to normal.
