Today we say goodbye to not only an incredibly talented Year 6 cohort but also several families who have been with the school for many years. Thank you to all for being so supportive of @BotleyPrimary and @BotleyPrimaryPE, may we wish you every success in your future lives.

The past two weeks have seen us attend partnership golf events with Year 3/4 and 5/6. Both teams finished 3rd in their respective competitions.

The weather was indecisive this week as our Sports days got underway. Nevertheless the children shone; not only in their physical performances but more importantly their incredible support for one another.

Winners -

Key Stage 1 - Air and Earth
Year 3/4 - Water
Year 5/6 - Earth

Year 6 recently participated in a partnership Kwik cricket event at Lapstone Park. The children embraced the opportunity and made rapid progress throughout - we finished 4th in the overall standings.

Today saw a small group of Year 6 pupils visit @YMCAFairthorne to begin a 4 week SUP course. Having mastered the basics, we set off up river and made the most of the beautiful weather. The children were superb and had a fantastic time.

Hampshire School Games week is proving a real success with classes this week. Today is #WellbeingWednesday and we are making the most of our beautiful school grounds #HSGWeek2021 @EnergiseSchools

Last Tuesday saw a selection of Year 3/4 children compete in a Rounders event at Fair Oak. In glorious sunshine, the children played superbly and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to participate in school sport once again. Well done to all involved

Our first house has reached Tokyo!!! Congratulations to Fire who made the virtual journey ahead of the other 3 houses and have now embarked on their second trip around the world #traveltoTokyo

It is so fantastic to see our Year 6 leaders getting the opportunity to support others in physical activity. They have worked hard recently to ensure a safe return and are delivering sessions to Year 2 over the coming weeks.

Euros fever has struck! Children in Key Stage 2 have relished the opportunity to participate in football this week as the competition gets underway.

Last week saw the much welcomed return to partnership sports events. Our Year 6's loved an afternoon of Rounders in the sun and made great progress throughout. This evening sees the turn of Year 3/4.

Not all part worn tyres end up back on the road. Thrilled to help a local school, yesterday we dropped off 10 cleaned & prepped tyres to the staff at @BotleyPrimaryPE to be used to enhance their play area.
