@tcgharker In terms of publishing they arguably already are number 1. I posed this question when Asha made that statement. What metric is she measuring to be 'number 1' ? Because if it's HW sales that just isn't happening. Users? They can fudge the numbers with PC users. Game sales? ๐คท
@tcgharker I agree with you, the battle Asha has to become the number 1 platform by 2030 which is what she has pledged is honestly batshit crazy, but that's why I think something more drastic is coming in the next 4 years. Otherwise they're toast.
@tcgharker It might be, but making a few single player games isn't going to force people to buy their consoles. At some point I think they will attempt something more drastic such as COD exclusivity.
@50PlusGamer1970 It's their IP they own it, the FTC unsuccessfully challenged the ABK acquisition, and the alleged deal to keep COD multi platform was for a period of time, not indefinitely.
@ChillyDawg423 I see you're a cynic. Do you know what the number 1 suggested change was on the feedback survey? Yeah. Even smart people can listen to a vacuum.
All this proves is that the decision to go exclusive has been made at the 11th hour. I'd be interested to see if there are any PS5 physical editions already printed out in the wild.
@GameRiot Absolutely. If they want to get back to being number 1 as Asha claimed they have to do something seismic like that don't you agree? Making gears and clockwork revolution isn't going to make people buy their consoles.
@AntiPar2ival XBOX will live on, it's just nobody is buying their consoles anymore. And why should they when you can play their games on PC and even stream them on a firestick if they were that desperate to play an exclusive game.
By what metric? Because if you go by users, Microsoft would already claim more than Nintendo and Sony due to PC ownership. If its by console share? No chance that happens in 4 years time.
@Lannister1909@Mastermind_09 Everyone is fishing in the same pool and everyone wants to get ahead. This was always going to happen especially with English clubs having the money available to spend. Nothing anyone can do about it unfortunately.
