The Bottom Drawer Book is your after death action plan. Your ideas and your life’s reflections will sit quietly in its pages. Funeral planning needn't be grim!
Last year's DEATH EXPO was so successful, we're doing it again!
TOOWOOMBA: OCTOBER 17 - Speakers, Q&A panels, and displays to encourage thought-provoking discussions.
We're seeking expressions of interest from stall holders and sponsors. https://t.co/Jd6RMdtCcc
There's a very cool project at Melbourne #Cemetery with 33 acres revegetated into a native grassland. Herbicide use slashed, temp reduced by 3 to 5 degrees, biodiversity increased. Amazing. I've written about it here: https://t.co/86rShv8yLN
💔 I visited the Garden of Angels at one of my fave cemeteries. Among the tributes:
"A short time in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts "
"Our brave little warrior"
"Your wings were ready, our hearts were not."
"Loved hardest by your mama and daddy"

While at the vet with my Wally this afternoon, this frame was on the reception counter. 🐾 Grief for a pet can be as debilitating as grief for a human so it's a thoughtful, respectful message to have on show.
(Wally is ok, though his cruciate ligament has seen better days 🤒🪡💰
I always feel a bit chuffed and humbled when people trust The Bottom Drawer Book with such important end-of-life plans and their life's reflections. xLisa

Rob from Tamworth takes his parents' ashes on his travels around the world, sprinkling them here and there. Rob is my guest blogger. #cremation#travel https://t.co/1vlzATRdwZ
@HLeithauser So glad they're in ur caring hands. Depending on the country/state, funeral directors usually have to keep ashes for up to 5 years. It's not uncommon that ashes aren't collected. U now have the privilege of ensuring this stranger is farewelled with grace, care & perhaps adventure
I just received package addressed to "current resident". Address was mine. Inside package are cremated remains of a man from Oct 2017. I do not know the man. I've lived here for 6 years. (1/2)
*Fresh delivery of books to Tamworth NSW* 📚 It was great to see Paul at Collins Booksellers on Peel St when I delivered a bunch of books for his shelves. He first stocked The Bottom Drawer Book when it was just a baby, 9 years ago, and he's been amazingly supportive ever since.

Retired Melbourne engineer John Wood was a keen clay target shooter. At his funeral yesterday, mourners said goodbye while he lay in the coffin he designed - a gun cartridge.
Enjoy my blog. John was a funny man who wasn't afraid of death at all. xLisa https://t.co/8zn0TH9AFh
🎅"Chances are you won't go anytime soon,
It happens to us all though, no one's immune.
A little bit of prep now will save me some grief,
And because I love you that'll bring relief."

I've penned some poems to make gifting The Bottom Drawer Book easier 🎄
Christmas is made, not bought. 🎁🎥 💔 Love this UK ad which shows the reality of Christmas for a bereaved father, struggling to pay bills and trying to make Xmas special for his son. Christmas can be hard time and this gets to the heart of that.
