@GillsInTheBlood Id have bitten your hand off even though I consider it kinda par for this squad. I’ve got very used to us delivering under par 😂 so id bite your hand off for par most of the time

And for no particular reason whatsoever…. here's the solitary goal scored in our 0-1 win over @Como_1907 😁

Dear @andyburnham, now do people who won't shut up at gigs

[Nicholas Coote @NicholasCoote1]

@GillsInTheBlood Injuries caught up with us big time last night. Up to 10 first teamers unavailable. Port Vale were able to improve by using their subs bench. We didn't have that luxury. The respective quality of the two benches was there for all to see.

Ooh look at me, I'm Real Madrid and I've won a million Champions Leagues. Grow up.

[bouncing_phil @BouncingPhil]

@legsidelizzy Hate that he’s been treated like this by both England and Lancs

[GillsInTheBlood @GillsInTheBlood]

Where would this XI finish in League 2?

Probably going to get pelters for this...

It was clear the lads were struggling last night but did we as fans do our best to lift them?

No.

Our performance was as poor as the teams in the 2nd half.

The Rainham End needed to step up.

After that news demote Lancashire to minor counties

Terrific test match cricket (Australia getting thrashed)

[James Cruttwell @JamesCruttwell]

3 games in a week. Few players would be able to play all 270+ minutes. Especially when options are so limited right now. Minutes need to be managed properly. Frustrating when players don’t play the full game, but I’d rather that than them get injured as well #gills

[bouncing_phil @BouncingPhil]

@GillsInTheBlood @TheME7Podcast @Deutsch_Gills @Weeks_FF @TVFTM @GillinghamFCSC Real question is whether we’re a top 7 side that can push upwards or a lower/mid table team that simply enjoyed a decent start.
First half looked more like the former, second half more like the latter.
Felt for GA a bit yesterday actually. Our bench was a lot weaker than theirs.

🎥 PERFECT? NO. BUT BOO WORTHY?

🗓️ 20th October 2026
🏆 League Two
🆚 Port Vale
🏟️ Priestfield Stadium

A game that we could have won, that we may have lost but in the end drew.

The early exchanges were full of endeavour from both sides but lacked a bit of finesse, but as the half wore on we got on top & lead at the interval thanks to Ronan Hale’s emphatic spot kick aa well as having another ruled out.

We started the second period brightly, and should have doubled our lead when Tom Eaves found himself free in the box, but in truth we struggled to create much after that.

Credit to our visitors, they worked their way back into the encounter - Kyle Dempsey was particularly effective upon being introduced at the break - to level things up, and in truth they looked the more likely in the final stages without really creating anything clear cut.

Can’t believe people are booing after that. Admittedly, not great second half but look at the players out and the bench available tonight, not exactly any game changers on there. We’ve been shit for so long and we’re currently 7th, not sure when people became so arrogant #Gills

[James William @JamesH0403]

I don’t rate the booing, we’re 7th after 12 games & considering the shit we’ve seen the previous few seasons, what are people expecting?

It’s miles better than what we’ve served up over the past 3 years.

I’m not entirely sure what people want with the injuries we’ve got too?

[Gillingham FC @TheGillsFC]

Today we remember our former captain, Doug Loft, who represented our club between 2014-2016.

Doug was a much loved figure at the club and he will be sorely missed by everyone associated with Gillingham FC.

Rest in peace Lofty 💙
