Microsoft Xbox Alpha 1 and 2 Development Kits (2001)
These were prototype computers used by game studios between 2000 and 2001 to create and test games before the original Xbox console was built.
Simply feels so good to be playing Gears again. Highly enjoying the new movement — a much needed, more grounded evolution for the franchise. Love that weapon pick ups in PvP actually matter with the Hammerburst and Retro being viable, the loadout Lancer could need a small buff though. Horde is chaos and fun, more activities to bring the squads together might be a good idea though. Some latency issues aside, The Coalition has something really special cooking here.
Xbox ‘s Gears Of War E-Day
In the Beta alone is incredible.
The franchise has always been gory, but this takes it up to another level.
The Coalition may have made the Best Horde Mode yet, it’s just so fresh for the series.

It’s been great seeing all the Backwards Compatibility talk with XBOX
Games don’t “Expire” a Good Game is a Good Game.
When you buy a game shouldn’t you WANT to be able to play them on the latest Console?
Truth is your favourite game now will be a “Old Game” at some point,

I always hear people say there’s nothing to play
Yes, the state of the Video Game Industry is a mess, but there’s so many great games out there
Play some variety, try different genres
There’s a particular subset of Sony fans who seem convinced that the moment an XBOX game is available on PC, it is automatically disqualified from being an exclusive.
Fine. Let’s apply that standard consistently.
• The Last of Us Part I? Not an exclusive.
• The Last of Us Part II Remastered? Not an exclusive.
• God of War? Not an exclusive.
• God of War Ragnarök? Not an exclusive.
• Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered? Not an exclusive.
• Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales? Not an exclusive.
• Marvel’s Spider-Man 2? Not an exclusive.
• Ghost of Tsushima? Not an exclusive.
• Horizon Zero Dawn? Not an exclusive.
• Horizon Forbidden West? Not an exclusive.
• Days Gone? Not an exclusive.
• Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart? Not an exclusive.
• Returnal? Not an exclusive.
See the problem?
The reality is much simpler: if a game is unavailable on your console, it is exclusive from the perspective of that console’s ecosystem. That’s the distinction that actually matters to the player.
You can argue over semantics all you like, but you can’t apply one definition to Microsoft and another to Sony.
You’re simply defining “exclusive” as “available on exactly one platform” and then pretending that settles the argument.
An exclusive is a product that is restricted to a particular platform or ecosystem. If a game is available on XBOX and PC but not PlayStation, it is exclusive to the XBOX ecosystem in the context that matters to a PlayStation owner.
And this distinction has always existed. “Console exclusive” and “platform exclusive” aren't synonymous with “available on one piece of hardware and absolutely nothing else.” Timed exclusives, console exclusives and platform exclusives all describe different degrees and durations of platform restriction.
