@mattgallowaycbc science is clear - NO amount of alcohol is good for you, no more benefits of red wine. To put up a guest who counters that, is like booking the "2nd hand smoke is okay" or "conversion therapy" is okay.
@mattgallowaycbc perpetuating the belief that red wine is good for you harmful, especially to women, where the "mommy wine thing" has been spurred by the alcohol industyr.
@mattgallowaycbc the research on benefits of red wine have long been debunked. Flawed research. Dr. Tim Stockwell at Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research proved red wine hurts you just like other alcohol.
What do we know about background and social position of #Russian soldiers, who are deployed in #Ukraine? BBC analysed publicly available info about 1083 Russian servicemen, who were killed in action. Here are some tendencies were found out. Thread
@stewart "Personal wealth is the product of collective effort and of social structures which present opportunities to some people, and obstacles to countless others.” -Mackenzie Scott. Canada's social structures helped you. You and I both know who needs your help now.
@HBODocs Crime of the Century tracks true source of other epidemic: opioid use. Don't blame millions addicted, blame all the amoral greedy people who got them there. Disturbing, compelling MUST WATCH,
@ChartwellsCA Shame on you for greed and insensitivity. You are giving bonuses to your bosses while not giving living wage to your front line HEROES. Was planning on moving mother-in-law to Chartwell residence in Cgy this summer. Am rethinking and urge everyone to do the same.

More than 30 per cent of federal inmates are Indigenous, the highest level in decades. Yet Indigenous people make up five per cent of the Canadian population.

@TD_Canada, this is my 3rd try this morning, to reach WebBroker. Why do we banking consumers just accept that corporate giants who make billions can't hire more tech-support staff. And don't blame this on the pandemic. Do better.
@Avignon85@CoreyRForrester and there's a lot of educated, rich and influential people manipulating that hate. The gift of America remains the endless potential to better oneself. Ask any immigrant. Instead of MAGA, make your own life great again.
@TheOthe12634660@steeletalk @PondMichael @CKNW What you suggest is only a small part of the solution. We have a vulnerable population that can't quit for complex reasons. So they keep going back to tainted drugs and die.
We need a safe supply until we can help them get well. Anything less is immoral.
@joedafish @steeletalk @PondMichael @CKNW your tax dollars are wasted on flawed policy, courts, lawyers, jails, law enforcement social services, health. We are talking billions. If we accepted a safe supply used in a safe setting, your streets would be more clean and people would be on the path to recovery
@julie_mememe73@steeletalk @PondMichael @CKNW for decades the main response has been we can't give in to the addiction. Clearly with the size of the epidemic this strategy doesn't work. If it did the primarily abstinence-based programs would be successful. Safe supply, safe using equals a drug problem taken off the streets.
