Hello world!
This is a student-run account for the Bourne Lab based at the University of Leeds, iPRD. Make sure to check our website https://t.co/FXspIAzjeQ
Thrilled to be invited to chair #frost8! Please do register for this excellent hybrid conference, November 24-26, 2021! Still time to submit abstracts for poster presentations! https://t.co/YkpwxIrN87
"Researchers at @iprd_leeds explore the selective separation of amines from continuous processes using automated pH controlled extraction from Luke Power, @RSC_ReactionEng AB member @RichBourne1981 & John Blacker et al., @chemleedsuni@LeedsUniEng", https://t.co/duHKJ7GvWo
Connor Taylor, Thomas Chamberlain & Richard Bourne (@RichBourne1981) et al. explore an automated computational approach to kinetic model discrimination and parameter estimation in this #OpenScience paper @iprd_leeds @Bourne_Lab, https://t.co/Is5bzibbE4
Come join the team! We've got an exciting research fellow position in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry https://t.co/1kXqJgd4GK in collaboration with @UniofNottingham and @uclchemeng to develop new Industry 4.0 approaches for process optimisation with @AstraZeneca and @ProParticles
New paper in Journal of Global Optimisation. Interested in optimising both discrete and continuous variables? How about trying our new MVMOO: Mixed variable multi‑objective optimisation algorithm! Great work Jamie Manson! https://t.co/VmYoqfDjWv
Check out the latest work from our labs. @BrendanLeeds95 self-optimised a nanoparticle catalysed reaction using SNOBFIT and used the information to generate a kinetic model that successfully predicted the outcome of the reaction.

Delighted to announce our EPSRC £1.2M grant (https://t.co/HksTOwU7VP) to develop responsive chemical manufacturing frameworks in collaboration with @Syngenta and @Britest_Ltd. Postdoc roles soon at @BristolChem @iprd_leeds @LeedsUniBSchool with @NatalieFey_NLS & Richard Hodgett!
Great to see this work on accelerated kinetic model generation, discrimination and fitting published using flow reactors in @Chem_Eng_J@Bourne_Lab https://t.co/TeZzxZzkIV
Interested in process optimisation? See how the groundbreaking new Compunetics Investigator utilises machine learning to guide batch experimentation. No modelling expertise required and free to download. #processdevelopment#optimisation#MachineLearning https://t.co/KDBcEiga4G
We are proud to announce that we, in partnership with the @UniversityLeeds , have now released Compunetics beta for free download! https://t.co/1Z3ZtvqEFK
@tnoel82@adclayton94@s_marsden That's great to hear. The end of viva photo below is certainly unusual! Difficult circumstances forced this but perhaps more viva's will happen like this in the future.
Congratulations to @adclayton94 on passing his PhD viva today! Many thanks to the examiners for embracing modern technology to conduct the viva using skype despite #COVID2019 - @tnoel82, Tom Chamberlain and @s_marsden for chairing
Are you ready to tackle major challenges within chemicals, pharmaceutics or even the food and beverage industry?
@moltoproduct can enable you to do that!
Apply to one of the @EPSRC funded places by 17 April. 👇

Enjoying some excellent science at the "Changing Paradigms in Process Innovation" in Hyderabad. Great to see rsc support and plenty of flow chemistry research.
You might have noticed the continuous flow of articles in recent days within @JFlowChem. They are all part of the #EmergingInvestigator#SpecialIssue! Thanks to our guest editors @Milad_FlowChem and @JMonbaliu for leading this effort.
Check it out: https://t.co/vsOwIbe5bB
Exciting PhD CASE award project in partnership with @AstraZeneca with Tom Chamberlain and myself to develop automated self-optimising reactors for development of supported nanoparticle catalysts. Please do apply! https://t.co/JL3D0ARU4b
