@Boston_Diehards 2023: Caleb Martin.
2025: it was a enough close game and Tatum had 40+ points. They had a solid chance at making the series 2-2.
2026: Baylor took way too many contested shots. He needs to go in my opinion.
I don’t think these excuses are enough to justify firing Joe
@UtiIoane@Boston_Diehards Yeah ngl I don’t know why Vucevic didn’t go in there. Probably the most questionable coaching decision along with the starting lineup
@_BrockB@Boston_Diehards 100%. I also think rotations at center should’ve been better especially when Embiid returned halfway thru the series. I get Vooch hasn’t been the best but we could’ve banged up embiid a bit. Nevertheless, I don’t think this series is enough to put Joe on the hot seat just yet
@YouLookGoodKing@Boston_Diehards He lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists that series. 33 and 31 points double doubles in the two games prior. What makes you think he wasn’t gonna go nuclear at the garden had he stayed healthy?
@UtiIoane@Boston_Diehards That sounds more like a player-type/mentality issue than a coaching issue. Roster moves have to be made. I think Joe is a solid leader and he has proven it
@CelticsStan1@The_Disaster413@Boston_Diehards Yes and no- Joe has also been a GENIUS in critical moments. This was not a year anybody anticipated the team to do so well; and with limited pieces to work with, I think Joe did a good job commanding this team through the regular season. This 76ers roster was just better overall
@_BrockB@Boston_Diehards Nevertheless, I don’t blame this on Joe and don’t think he deserves to be fired over this. There’s a reason he’s probably going to win COTY…
@_BrockB@Boston_Diehards I will agree, that starting lineup was questionable and a reason why the game started so poorly. I also find it rather confusing why Vucevic didn’t see any minutes this game knowing we needed some size to guard embiid in the paint especially with Queta in foul trouble early on…
