The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has temporarily shut down Marmatan Natural Mineral Sachet Water Company at Amasaman for operating without the required licence and under unhygienic conditions.

According to the FDA, the facility's production environment, including its wells and poly tanks, was found to be in an unsanitary state that fell below the required health and safety standards.

Ghana is building what is expected to be West Africa’s largest irrigation project at Afram Plains under the Feed Ghana Project to boost year-round farming and food production.

That's the more reason the government is busy building the Afram Plains bridge for easy food transport
