@lwalljasper create assignments that are age appropriately self-directed. Start off small and gradually increase their independence. Also teach my student organizational and planning practices. #edu255sp20

@lwalljasper a few roadblocks to self-directed learning could be, finding resources that are standards or research supported. Another roadblock for me, that I'm not very familiar with social platforms. I's used Facebook and Instagram but this is the first time I've used twitter.

@lwalljasper having a strong Professional learning Network plays a huge supporting role for self directed learners. Teachers within your net work share Ideas and strategies that may or may not work in your classroom. They also make you think and may challenge you.
