The teen and I learned Beez tonight. It played so quickly that we played 2 games in a row. It reminded us of Calico in a way -- the "how to play" is easy, but the "what should I do on this turn" is a lot more thinky. Overall, we enjoyed it and will def play again.
@EricBuscemi @mdriddlen I've played all 3 (orig, card, dice) and the card game was the only one to leave our house after 2 plays. IMO, it doesn't hold a candle to the other two.
I'm a little late to the game, but... Finally managed to snag a copy of @gengelstein's Super-Skill Pinball. After just one solo game tonight, I can't wait to teach the family! I'm amazed at how much it feels like playing pinball, and I think they're going to love it.
@MinimumPlayerCt I'm so sorry. One of our cats has major anxiety & tends to spray walls (or bookshelves / game shelves). We had her on kitty prozac for a couple months, which helped. It had been an almost daily issue & is down to very rarely now. I still keep games and books out of range, though.
My teen has been fairly meh about board games in recent months. But two that he has really enjoyed are Calico and The Search for Planet X. And I am MORE than happy to play these amazing games with him. Both are fantastic and fun. Even when he beats me.
Today in math, we did tricky probability problems. 1 involved a 3-way paintball battle, & the best strategy for the weakest player. Took a while to work through prob of him winning, but Logan(14) knew the best strategy right away, due to regular reading of GameTek by @gengelstein

@MaggiBot Two people in our house struggle and have an easier time taking pills with a spoonful of yogurt, applesauce, etc....one has even been known to use ketchup or ranch dressing. Something with more substance, swallowed quickly, seems to help.
