For those who want a bit more context: parts of Sumatra, Indonesia have been hit by severe flooding and landslides, destroying homes, roads and bridges and basically leaving entire communities stranded without adequate resources. That’s why this reporter broke down.
And the reason Indonesians are angry is because the government still hasn’t declared this situation a national emergency, which means large scale state funding cannot be mobilised and responsibility is pushed onto already strained local governments.
But the craziest part is that on top of failing to properly assist civilians, the government is also rejecting aid and offers of help from overseas so how is any of this supposed to make sense?
IMAX’s new film camera will be named The IMAX Keighley Camera
• Named after David Keighley, IMAX’s first chief quality officer who passed away earlier this year, and Patricia Keighley, IMAX’s chief quality guru
• First used to film Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’
This camera should be exhibited one day in the Genocide Memorial built in memory of the innumerable victims of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Shame on all journalists not raising their voice against the massacre of their brave Palestinian colleagues while documenting the genocide.
We are funded!
At the time of the trailer in 2023, we were just 2 bedroom programmers with no experience in the industry. The game was just 6 months old and exceeded all our expectations. With limited finances, we started from scratch, working sleepless nights and handling everything from business to creation. Two years later, we are 10 developers and we are still hiring.
Today, we’re proud to announce that we finally have the budget to make UNRECORD and build the best game possible.
Many thanks to our investors, who enjoyed playing the game and placed their trust in us.
We're now fully focused on production and avoiding revealing unfinished work in order to raise the bar even higher. Now that we have funding, we’ll finally share updates in 2026 that reflect our true final vision.
A project is, above all, a human adventure that can’t be built overnight, and we feel the pressure and the responsibility to create one of the most immersive games ever, one that makes no compromises.
Thank you for your support!
Our deepest thanks and gratitude to Sucker Punch Productions Co-Founder Brian Fleming, who is handing over the leadership reins as the studio begins a new chapter. Starting Jan 1, longtime creative and technical leaders Jason Connell and Adrian Bentley will step into new roles as studio heads, continuing to guide the team’s focus on ambitious, character-driven experiences that define PlayStation Studios. https://t.co/Rf9799C2zz
