Now the dust has settled. Usyk was stopping Rico before that fight ended no matter what. Not to excuse the stoppage which was marginally early imo, but Usyk was about to do a classic Usyk thing in them championship rounds
Give Peter Fury a capable student, and they will be one of the hardest to beat fighters in their division.
Rico adapted impressively quick. The feints and movement were outstanding.
I have second hand embarrassment watching that Netflix MMA event.
All the money in the world, yet the production is dated, boring, and slow. And they can’t even get some competitive matchups? I don’t get what they are trying to achieve with that one
The Usyk losses have really made people forget how dangerous Dubois really is. Yeah, he’s vulnerable in spots, but once he finds his rhythm, the guy is wrecking machine to his last breath! Underrated skills as well
@alexlewis1985 Professional care comes into play. Wardley is a smart man, he would behave understood. If anything, I think their relationship has been tarnished by him letting it continue tbh
Disgraceful from Wardley’s corner. That’s was shameful to send their man out there round after round considering he could barely stand! It was all looking scary in there for a while
First and foremost, Dubois just boxed an incredible fight. His experience showed, roughed up Wardley, took his right hand away with such a well timed jab. Showed grit and resolve. HATS OF TO DUBOIS 🫡
@SkitsB4ck Pretty much exactly where I’m at with him. Love AJ and Fury, both Itauma seems to be a blend of both doing things at a much better level compared to when they were 14 fights deep. Deffo needs a chin check, but I’m confident he’s the real deal for now
Outside of the top 2-3 heavyweights, Itauma flatlines everyone handily.
I would normally argue for MUCH more activity, but what he is doing seems to be working well for him, so might be best staying at this place for the foreseeable
The speed & power combined with the feints, the movement, punch variety, output volume. Itauma has the full package!
Still need to see if he can take a punch, but there’s been plenty said from sparring partners that he solid in the department too
The FULL Ring Magazine archive being available on the new website is astonishing really. For many fights that took place between the 20s through the 60s, this will be your most detailed resource... and it's free.
You could spend months on this...
Deontay calling Fury a cheater - ok, fine, . It was once he publicly shamed & sacked his career-long coach, Mark Breland, That I knew he lost his mind
He went as far to say he spiked his water with a sedative between rounds, despite that job being done (on camera) by Jay Deas smh
Deontay Wilder had to be held back by security after being asked about Tyson Fury 😳
“Why’s it so hard to believe a black man? Why is it? You got white privilege.”
