@afab_acab @AD_Armond Ohmygoodness I *hated* driving through Montana! I was seriously unprepared for seeing the sun set and rise on Montana while driving nonstop through the night.. The only good thing about having to move away from Tacoma was not having to make that drive any more!
If you're a spouse, you'll need your veteran's ssn, end of service date, and total time of active duty service. But the veteran does not need to accompany the spouse.
So my youngest 2 kids (5 and 4) don't really have context for villains in the shows they watch yet, so I noticed in their play today that the only "bad guys" they have context for are Trump and cops. lol
Agda (5yo) came up to me today holding Ingrid's (4yo) hand and said, "Ingrid is having some big feelings, so we're going downstairs to snuggle and watch Mr. Roger's."
Holy shit I love these people.
@RevJoBear "Bitch, I said I cannot."
Joey, you are astounding. I love this essay so much and your words fill my cup and speak my truth and the truth of my, of *our* people. I am so glad you put this out in the world.
My youngest kids were bickering this morning and came to me to help fix it:
5yo: She was saying a mean --
4yo: No! I like they and them!
5yo: Right! They were saying mean thing and...
The kids get it, even when they're mad at each other.
@RevJoBear wrt your folks is okay. You don't owe them that conversation. And you don't owe us cutting them out of your life. You get to take your time and be unsure and do and feel a number of things or nothing at all. I delight in you, and so do many others. Including God, if that helps.
@RevJoBear I'm so very sorry, Joey. It's okay that you know don't know what to do. I know what to do: you are exactly who you say you are and know yourself to be. You are loved and cherished, even by people who are nearly strangers. Including by me, specifically. Whatever choice you make
