The wife of 2023 Ghana Strongest champion Godfred Akobila (@Godfred_Ak ) has recounted the events leading to her husband’s death after a short illness.
According to her, Akobila complained that his body felt unusually hot at dawn, prompting her to give him paracetamol. Suspecting it could be malaria, he later asked her to get him malaria medication.
Despite taking the medication, his condition deteriorated. As preparations were being made to rush him to the hospital, he collapsed. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, leaving family, friends and the sporting community in shock.
