@JOBhakdi Been in early then in and out over the years now I am holding. Everything has been too quiet lately not to have something big in the works and I don’t think it just optimi and robo or merger fluff. Something else is brewing
@heydave7 Never going back to ICE in a car and I am no tree hugger. Have no problem with burning lots of fuel in aircraft and boats but electric is just a better car and FSD is a must now.
Spent more than 80 on my MX and would spend more on a Real SUV CT based replacement in a flash but do want more range than my Foundation Beast has. Tired of stopping every 200 miles on long cross countries just to keep the charge times down. Even the same max range would be fine IF it charged fast all the way to 100% with no damage.
@vishalraina@wholemars Steel can. Just not the FH stainless they use now, Go aluminum and paint the damn thing. Weight savings and probably much better aerodynamics.
@wholemars CT platform in a suburban size with an aluminum body and paint please. The stainless only again would suck but I would probably still buy it and wrap it. Love my wrapped CT but need more seats.
@CMategra1@libsoftiktok@JudieHall9@grok Grok is correct: the facility was not permitted for that kind of occupancy; it has nothing to do with who the occupants are.
I would still buy the CyberBurban even if it were priced like a Caddy. The personal electric car is what is financing cybercab and opti, so asking for a new model should not be so out of the question. I think saying the 3 and y are enough is short-sighted; hell, they are still talking about the roadster, talk about something that will never be profitable. I hope they do a real full-size SUV for those of us who live in rural America and have families.
Ending the S&X as they stand was a no-brainer, but not replacing them with a large, long-range sedan and true 7-passenger SUV is a little short-sighted. There are still many people who take road trips as a family or live in rural areas where autonomous ride-sharing is not ready for prime time. Thinking you can force everyone into a Y variant is a mistake. I really want a CyberBurban that can be self-driven like my Cybertruck.
What no one seems to be talking about is the 6+ month shutdown of Fremont while it retools to a product that should be easily built by other robots. At least they are addressing the California cost problem. My bet is that Fremont closes forever at its current headcount and reopens highly automated, if at all.
Screw the stainless flat panels. It was a dumb idea. Everything else about the ct except range is Fantastic. Give me a lighter painted body in a real FULL-SIZE SUV that has everything else that’s great about my CT plus better range from a lighter body and better aerodynamics and I am in at $100k.
Small pick up should be on the board. Drop the CT, do a real SUV and then do a small pick up. Half tons and larger are mostly sold as theoretical tow vehicle, something EVs suck at short a real improvement in charge speed and energy density. A full size SUV needs seats luggage room and range not the stupid acceleration of my Cyberbeast. A painted cyberburban with fast charging and 400 mile epa range would be great.
