We aim to create unity between your home and lifestyle by providing reliable and personal service.
We work to craft the best living environments for our clients
Light, flow, and thoughtful design completely transformed this Minnetonka kitchen.
By removing walls and opening the space, natural light now pours in, connecting the kitchen seamlessly to the great room. At the center, an expansive Cambria island becomes the true focal point—both a stunning design feature and a natural gathering place for everyday living and entertaining.
Layered materials bring warmth and contrast, while appliances from Warners' Stellian Appliance Co. Inc. add both performance and a clean, integrated look to the space. This project is a perfect example of how reimagining layout and light can elevate an entire home.

This April Fools’ Day, we’ll admit it — we're no joke.
When it comes to your home, we come pretty close to doing everything. From multiple window replacements and porches/decks to full remodels, kitchens, baths, and additions, our role is to connect every detail with the right expertise — seamlessly and thoughtfully.
At Boyer Building Corporation, we’re proud to be both a remodeler and a builder, with over 70+ years of experience guiding homeowners through every kind of project.
Because building is only part of what we do.
Connecting it all is where we shine - no joke!
Today, Tim Forsberg and Cherie Poissant, CAPS toured the new showroom of Inspired Closets in St. Louis Park at the invitation of one of the owners, Chad Ormberg, who is also a past Boyer client! The showroom has nice examples of closets, a pantry, laundry room, garage shelving, a Murphy Bed and more! You can even view the designs in 3D with their VR headset if you like.
Thank you for the tour of the new space Chad and Jenny!

Billy just realized spring is coming, and his days in front of the fire are numbered. But before he mourns, he remembers the full kitchen remodel he survived: dark and enclosed walls replaced with an open layout, a Cambria counter-to-ceiling backsplash, a spacious island, and custom cabinetry worthy of his supervision.
Through all the chaos—walls down, cabinets going in—Billy held strong. And honestly? It was worth every noisy, messy second.
Winter naps may be shrinking, but with a kitchen this glorious, Billy’s already planning how to claim his sunny spots near the island. Spring, he’s ready for you.

Remodel. Remodeler. Kitchen remodel. Contemporary design. Modern design.
Yes we are anticipating St. Patrick's Day...but we also ALWAYS love a good green in an interior!! Do you know what green typically communicates in interiors?
* Calm and restoration - Green sits in the middle of the color spectrum, so our eyes process it easily. That’s why it often makes a room feel restful and grounded—similar to being outside.
* Connection to nature - A green of any shade naturally evokes trees, grass, gardens, and landscape. Even in a more modern home, green subtly pulls the outdoors in.
* Freshness and renewal - Because it’s tied to growth and spring, green can make a space feel alive and refreshed without being loud.
* Stability and balance - Unlike high-energy colors like red or orange, green tends to feel steady and reassuring. It’s a color that makes people settle in.
So many great things can come when considering a green for your rooms!

Your first meeting to get you closer to your build/remodel dream is to meet with one of these great people....let the talks begin!
We’re excited to officially welcome Benjamin Gross as Boyer Building’s newest Project Manager!
Born and raised in the western suburbs, Ben is truly local through and through. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he studied Applied Economics, Ben started building decks while still in school. That hands-on experience led him to work with a local deck builder after graduation—so when the opportunity came to bring him onto the Boyer team, we were more than happy to snag him.
Ben’s uplifting personality makes him a natural fit for our Boyer family, as well as for our clients and trade partners. When asked about joining Boyer, Ben shared that it “has been a dream come true.” He appreciates the supportive environment, the fun (yet focused) atmosphere, and the opportunity to keep learning every day. Most of all, he says he feels fulfilled in the work he’s doing.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Ben on board. Welcome to the team!
From all of us at Boyer Building, we want to celebrate Chris Johnson and thank her for eight incredible years as a highly valued Project Manager.
We recently gathered to send Chris off in style with a heartfelt Happy Retirement celebration—because someone who has given so much to our team and our clients deserves nothing less. Chris will be deeply missed for her easygoing, good-natured approach, her steady commitment to our clients, and her dedication to doing things the right way.
And of course, we had to lean into the trend and work a little AI magic—creating a caricature that perfectly captured her life at Boyer… and the cooking, fishing and hunting adventures that are about to fill her days. Safe to say—we nailed it.
Chris, thank you for all you’ve contributed to the Boyer family. Best of luck in this next chapter—and keep in touch!
We’re honored to be nominated in two regional “Best of” awards and would truly appreciate your support.

A well-designed wet or dry bar can completely change how a living space functions. It adds intrigue, creates easy access for guests, and keeps entertaining effortless and social—no disappearing into the kitchen.
Thoughtful bars blend design and function, turning a small footprint into a standout accent that makes a home feel finished, welcoming, and ready to gather.
How is your home currently laid out when it comes to entertaining?

This stairwell is proof that circulation space can be a true design moment.
In this major whole-home remodel, the main-floor–to–lower-level staircase was completely reimagined with all-new, custom treads and spindles crafted by the Boyer Building team. What was once a dated brass-and-glass Midcentury Modern stair has been transformed into a striking piece of transitional art—elevated, intentional, and beautifully balanced.
More than a path between floors, this stairwell now serves as a sculptural focal point that connects the home’s past to its present, blending craftsmanship, warmth, and modern elegance in one seamless statement.
Looking back at one of our standout projects and award winners —and this Minnetonka stairway still stops us in our tracks.
This 1984 home had great bones, but the centrally located staircase felt heavy, dated, and blocked the lake views our homeowners loved. Their vision was clear: a contemporary showstopper that would complement the newly remodeled kitchen, mudroom, and dining spaces—while still honoring budget goals and working within the existing structure.
The challenge? Maintaining a floating tread look while correcting non-code spacing and reducing the visual weight of oversized oak elements. Our solution was thoughtful and precise. We removed non-supportive columns, reworked the existing structure, and custom-fit new oak box treads engineered to meet code. Heavy oak posts and stringers were refined, smoothed, and lightened to create a clean backdrop, allowing natural light and lake views to flow freely through the main floor.
A modern steel railing replaced bulky wood, adding contrast, safety, and a quiet architectural edge.
The result is a staircase that doesn’t shout—but commands attention. Two years later, it remains a defining moment in this home and a reminder of what’s possible when design, craftsmanship, and problem-solving align.
Here’s to revisiting the projects that remind us why we love what we do.

Need more kitchen storage without sacrificing style? This Lake Minnetonka kitchen remodel proves you can have both—smart function and clean, timeless design.
In this major remodel, the original kitchen lacked adequate storage and had no true pantry, making everyday life challenging for a busy young family. Boyer Building reimagined the space with a seamless, hidden pantry integrated directly into the custom cabinetry—creating generous storage while preserving crisp lines and a calm, modern aesthetic.
Key takeaways from this Lake Minnetonka kitchen remodel:
* Hidden pantry design for maximum storage
* Custom cabinetry that looks intentional, not bulky
* Clean lines that elevate the entire main floor
* A kitchen designed for real family life
Thoughtful planning and intentional design made this kitchen both highly functional and beautifully understated.

Classic Calacatta stone sets a refined foundation, while the black matte shower walls bring depth and drama with "Beyond Calacatta Black 12×24 Field Tile Matte Rectified" from Virginia Tile Company . A crisp hex mosaic shower floor adds texture underfoot, balancing precision with performance.
The result? A bold, modern retreat designed to start and end the day in style—proof that a primary bath can be both powerful and polished.

One of our most popular requests? Four-season porches. And it’s easy to see why—because in Minnesota, the outdoors deserve to be enjoyed all year long.
From crisp fall mornings to snowy winter nights to summer sunsets, a four-season porch adds light, warmth, and connection to your home no matter the season.
We love seeing this trend grow and are proud to help our clients create spaces that bring beauty and function together.

** Big news from Boyer Building—we’re honored to be featured in @mspmag Home & Design’s article, “A New Level.”**
This Minnetonka home’s lower-level remodel is a true transformation, turning what was once dark and dated into a bright, inviting retreat. From a cozy bedroom & spa-like guest bathroom to a stylish living space with a bar that opens seamlessly to the outdoors, every detail was designed for comfort and connection.
Our favorite part? How easy it is to entertain here—the kitchen and bar were designed so gatherings flow naturally inside and out.
And yes—even the family pup has their own fashionably decorated nook wrapped in dog-themed wallpaper.
Huge thanks to our wonderful clients for inviting us in to capture this space. Fun fact: Boyer Building also remodeled the rest of this home—inside and out—and we’re grateful for their trust.
