@darrengrimes Can you actually read? It literally says “includes but is not limited to” and talks about people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds as a separate example and therefore specifically includes white working class people.
@RupertLowe10 When have any other sets of rioters thrown bricks at places of worship and tried to set fire to hotels and not been arrested? Must have missed that
@darrengrimes@YvetteCooperMP Their job never includes stamping on someone’s head while they’re on the ground. Criminals commit crimes. That doesn’t justify taking the law into your own hands and it’s disrespectful to the 99% of decent police who would never do that to suggest that is part of the job
@WestHamPlace Police will always face criminals who commit crimes. It’s kind of their job. They don’t all kick people in the head and stamp on them when they’re on the ground. It’s disrespectful to the 99% of decent police officers to justify taking the ones who go too far
@patrynard He does realise that black and brown people have proportionately far more children than white people? And the poor far outweigh the millionaire class that underpins the Republican Party… maybe he’s onto something 🤔
@RupertLowe10 We don’t have an immigration crisis we have an aging population crisis which means people hold on to their homes for much longer and a super rich crisis which allows the 0.1% to continually put up the prices of assets, including housing, beyond the means of normal people
@Nigel_Farage Now compare the working age population now vs 40 years ago? Population increase is due to people living longer and we need working age people to look after them. How do you do this without immigration if British people are having fewer and fewer children?
'Yes I feel sympathy... but Donald Trump also has some culpability in creating an environment where violence is more likely.'
Husband of the late MP Jo Cox, who was a victim of political violence, @MrBrendanCox reacts to the Trump rally shooting.
@BenKentish
@RobertJenrick She’s saving the taxpayer from spending legal fees on a case that her advisors are telling her she will lose. If only the same had been done when defending the decision to prorogue parliament 🤔
@TheRoyalistsUK What you’re arguing is that no republican should ever be allowed to be an mp even though it represents the view of at least a third of the population.
@SaulStaniforth He’s not necessarily wrong. You can’t grow an economy if people are inactive because they’re long term sick or responsible for stepping in to care for the disabled. It’s a justification for why improving health and social care isn’t about handouts it’s an investment
