We come in peace, but are not at peace.
We are impelled to break from our usual posts to share our concerns about recent developments on the legislative front.
There is something not right with how GoK is suddenly prolific about enacting certain regulations that are definitely intended to favour foreign multinationals or business interests, without regard for local norms, or rights to privacy and freedom of choice.
The first has to do with babies implanted with chips (for digital IDs). According to media reports, Kenya's President has agreed to allow our dear babies to be implanted with chips.
No, we are not against "progress" or "advancement in technology".
Forget the PR, all these plans are designed, we dare posit, to ensnare Kenyans, through its suspiciously gullible and accommodative administration, to a wider evil scheme of illiberal globalisation.
And @BillGates, who is an outspoken proponent of GMO - a technology that many leading scientists have warned us to be cautious about, is right in the middle of (some of) these plans.
Bill Gates recently toured the country and met senior government officials.
It has taken a foreign media agency, through this video, to warn Kenyans that they are "in serious trouble" about the babies implant idea.
Curiously, local media does not seem too bothered to question the privacy, ethical and even scientific concerns behind this plan by GoK.

In yet another move the government - your government - is looking at enacting another sinister legislation intended to bar Kenyans from "making herbal medicine without following regulations".
The proposed Kenya Drugs Authority Bill 2022 describes herbal medicine as "plant-derived material or preparations with claimed therapeutic or other human or veterinary health benefits".

As many of the readers will know, Big Pharma (pharmaceutical industry) is a multi-trillion dollar industry. Big Pharma also make a lot of money from (drug) patents.
At a time when interest in traditional cures and medicine has been growing the world over, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, natural cures from plants and other naturally occurring sources cannot be patented.
Big Pharma's significant lobbying expenditures and campaign contributions have also been a subject of scrutiny.
A study analyzing publicly available data from 1999 to 2018 found that Big Pharma has substantial influence on national political systems through its large spending power.
You can find more on that here https://t.co/fqkD445FeH
Transparency International has also raised concerns about corrupt practices of Big Pharma, and it is also known that the industry bribes doctors and government officials to advance their business. More on this here -

Is the Kenyan government devising suspect legislations and initiatives at the behest of cartels and investors in the drugs industry, some of whom have allegedly called for world populations to be reduced?
Are Kenya's national security, cultural and other interests being sacrificed on the altar of someone's commercial expediency? Or on the altar of someone else's national security interests?
Why does the @WilliamSRuto administration seem too eager to embrace ideas advanced to it by foreign entities and "leading investors"?
Why Kenya? Why not China or India, whose huge populations would be instant jackpots for "investors"?
What, also, is the motive behind a draft legislation in a "hustler" government that will see ordinary Kenyans selling peanuts, groundnuts, macadamia and cashew nuts "without a permit" fined KES 1,000,000?
Considering the mountain of issues we are facing as a country, including servicing colossal debts, corruption, declining competitiveness of the economy and rising costs of living, some of the highlighted initiatives are certainly not a priority.
Thus moves by the State or State officials to suddenly come up with a number of ominous initiatives and legislations are raising more questions than answers as to what the real motive is.
When a government notorious for sleaze in its corridors comes together with an entity or entities directly or indirectly associated with corruption, or associated with government lobbying power, then we could be on our own.
And by the way, there is another draft Bill intended to devise ways in which public participation will be carried out. Maybe there are good intentions in it. Maybe not. Let’s all be vigilant.
Please help spread awareness.
Kenyans, May I have your ears please? Who took our money? Who took money meant for SGR, NYS, the dams, KEMSA, etc? Who took the Eurobond Billion's? why are we being heavily taxed and forced to pay what we did not spend and what is in someone's bank account? Let's face it.
🇵🇸🇮🇱 These Israeli settlers are backed, and protected, by the Israeli army.
This footage is from 2012.
“Sit here, inside your cage.”
“You are a whore and your daughters are too.”
“Gas the Arabs!” is also spray painted on one home.
"Using data from Safaricom we are expanding the taxpayer base so we can increase the collections to Ksh 1.2T from Ksh 400B.
We are checking on how many Tills we have, how many people are on Pochi la Biashara vs what KRA is collecting."
David Ndii has let the cat out of the bag!
Instead of expanding the economy they're squeezing those who have kept the economy going with little or no help from the government.
This is foolishness.
The data itself says that 80% of Kenyans RELY on traditional medicine.
Among the contributors to this 2011 paper were the (then) Ministries of Medical Services & Public Health, and the Department of Culture.
THE PAPER WAS WRITTEN FOR THEM LOL

As a Black African in a free country, I'd like to remind you that the only reason we're free from our parents/grandparents colonizers is BECAUSE of the so-called "terrorists/savages/children of darkness" of their time. Those people were the Palestine of their time, fighting back.
This has m0nsant0 written all over it. They're trying everything to kill plant diversity & make us solely reliant on the pharmaceutical industrial complex, while waging class warfare. It's not just a fine, it's death for many who don't have access to institutionalized healthcare
@mwende_kyalo_ Read briefly on the Rape of the Americas, which happened before ours and then come back and claim they were two entities. FYI, the Monarch is the titular head of the Anglican church.
Who Is Your Shujaa?
One late afternoon on 20th December 2015, a bus packed with passengers blew up dust as it hurtled northwards towards Mandera.
As it approached El Wak, along a section lined with shrubbery on either side, the din of the bus engine stuttered.
Suddenly, the scattered chatter of bus passengers quickly died down. Curious passengers craned their necks forward towards the front, wondering why the bus had slowed down on this desolate stretch.
A few dozen yards ahead, a lone gunman aimed an assault rifle at the bus, motioning the driver to stop, just as more Al Shabaab militants emerged from the thickets.
The lead terrorist stormed the bus first and bellowed commands in Kiswahili. The passengers were ordered to separate themselves between Muslims and Christians.
Some female Muslim passengers instinctively handed their headscarves to non-Muslims in the bus.
One Muslim passenger, who happened to be the Deputy Headteacher of Mandera Township Primary School, Salah Abdow Farah, openly defied the terrorists.
He stepped forward and faced off with the militants, daring the terrorists to either spare them or kill all Muslims, himself included.
The leader of the terrorists raised his gun and shot at Salah twice, on his arm and hip. Two passengers were shot dead and two others besides Salah sustained injuries.
Two days after the incident, Salah was airlifted to Nairobi and admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital, where a bullet lodged on his hip was removed. He however succumbed to his injuries a few weeks later, on 18th January 2016.
For his bravery the late Salah was posthumously awarded the Order Of The Grand Warrior (OGW) of Kenya by President Uhuru Kenyatta in March 2016.
“We are our brother’s keeper. I salute Salah Farah, the Muslim teacher who died (after) protecting Christians in an Al Shabaab attack”, said President Kenyatta, who also vowed that the widow and Salah’s five children would not be forgotten by the government.
There is perhaps no greater ushujaa than offering one’s life so others can live.
Salah (and female passengers in the bus who tried to save their Christian co-passengers) are our Shujaa.
May Salah's memory be a blessing to his kin. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace. Ameen.

Israeli air strikes have hit Al Ahli hospital in Gaza. More than 500 people - patients, doctors & those sheltering - have been killed.
What unspeakable horror. We will mourn their loss forever.
Our leaders could have spoken up for peace. They chose to cheer on war instead.
When will they demand an end to these atrocious war crimes? How many Palestinian lives will it take to call for these indiscriminate killings to stop?
Please, for the sake of humanity, raise your voice for an immediate ceasefire. The existence of the Palestinian people is at stake.
Journalist Hatem Omar collapses when he sees members of his family arriving by ambulance dead and injured following an airstrike on a residential building in Rafah.
BREAKING: Israel has just bombed the Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
Health Ministry is reporting that an estimated 500 Palestinians were killed.
500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) killed in one go.
This is the Israel that Western media tells you is a "victim".
