Wonder what the chances are of getting people with real card game experience in the trenches and simplifying/making the rules for Riftbound not be as much of a joke as they are now
someone correctly pointed out that Aurora gaming is low skill and a bunch of people got incredibly upset, absolutely crying laughing
going 12+mana positive every turn after a card resolves is insane but also a win with Aurora is worth the same as a win with Jhin, so who cares
Skirmish I was judging today didn’t fire because there’s 10 skirmishes within an hour drive. This sucks, man. Would really love a system that would allow me to coordinate with local shops to ensure this never happens again
@mitchellsocks For casting cost, think a Gush that only returns 1 Island about half the time, two Islands maybe 5% of the time, and none the rest
There's a creature you can play by returning a land if it's a card you look at while resolving this, as well (very minor, but still)
The problem is not “a game on its second set is discussing bans”, the problem is “how did Pot of Greed make it through an R&D department filled with seemingly very competent developers”
Really my only take on all of this discourse
There’s a few games I’ve played where cards probably should’ve been banned in set 2 that weren’t, then banned down the road, and pretending that was a good decision and justification for shitting on those calling for bans rings sorta hollow to me
