In an effort to strengthen Ghana’s preparedness against Ebola, the Deputy Minister for Health, @ProfDrGADanquah, has directed strict measures to tighten surveillance and response systems at the Aflao Border.
Last night, I had the honour of representing His Excellency John Dramani Mahama at the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Awards Night, together with the Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
This was an opportunity to reaffirm our goal of building a strong, competitive, and self-sustaining industrial sector. The businesses that were celebrated deserve our highest commendation. They reflect the innovation and resilience that must drive Ghana’s next phase of growth.
Under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, we are unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s industrialization agenda. Policies such as the 24-Hour Economy are designed to incentivize industries to operate in shifts around the clock, thus strengthening productivity, improving competitiveness, and expanding job creation. Likewise, the Feed Ghana Programme is boosting agricultural output to support food security and provide the raw materials needed for local processing.
We urge our industries to take full advantage of these initiatives, especially as Government prioritizes value addition. We are creating an environment that opens new opportunities, decentralizes operations, and expands capacity for sustainable growth.
We are fully aware of the challenges confronting industry. That is why easing these constraints remains central to our broader industrial strategy. Government stands ready to work hand-in-hand with our industries to build a resilient and competitive industrial base for Ghana.
To all award winners and nominees, congratulations. And to every business making quiet but steady progress each day, you are helping to build a nation anchored on industrial strength. Your work matters, and Ghana is counting on you.
In case you thought the TV3 microphone wasn’t pushed away intentionally, we have an angle that will clear your doubts.
This happened yesterday during an NPP Press Conference following their NEC meeting at Alisa.
