From the end of the 2006 World Cup until Southgate took over after the 2016 Iceland fiasco, England were consistently, genuinely terrible. I mean, absolutely crap. Yet so many people who lived through this decade of rubbish seem to have forgot all about it.
@RobbieSkeates Come on, Blackburn and Watford are both a shambles in regards to the running of their clubs, don’t think it’s a good thing that we’re paired alongside them 🤣
@ForeverBristol1 Conversely, Manning wasn’t sacked in March giving us 3 months to find his replacement, he left us almost unexpectedly, and we found his replacement within a few weeks
The big worry now is any actual decent managers left worth anything, will feel absolutely insulted to be considered 4th choice and probably turn us down lol
@TheExiledRobin I’ve not. Let’s see who the manager is first. Don’t want another rigorous, vigorous process to appoint Roy’s assistant because he’s a great human being
@AlanRay1169790@bcfcEJ@pn_jordan_cross Bit unfair, aside from Struber (not counting Hodgson), Manning had 2 1/2 years here, Pearson had 2 1/2, Holden admittedly was shortlived, Lee Johnson had over 4, Steve Cotterill had just over 2 years here
