I am from berry picking summers and flashlight pages under covers
I come from a banana seat bike with a clothes pinned Jack click it clack it on the spokes as it flew freely through the town
@adhdautisticguy I am so happy to hear this!
Today someone on my TEAM was fired and I was concerned I might be next! But it turns out I needn’t worry. I have a hard time reading the room, as it were.
Maybe you, too, have a hard time seeing yourself as successful.
Believing in yourself? Hard
@CatieOsaurus I hate it when anyone uses my name. I don’t like any other name, either. I complained to my husband that he never uses my name. He immediately used it and I made him promise to never call me that again! We call each other Heart. Been together 45 years.
@ashleyann_atx them back to their room, because they were so nice, but one of my siblings told my dad that the man kissed me I don’t recall being kissed. But I do recall someone pointing, and so I wasn’t allowed. I REALLY wanted to get away from my family. So creepy, thinking about it.
@ashleyann_atx Thankfully having poor boundaries didn’t hurt me too much, but I still shake my head about that time I was mad at my family when we were at a hotel pool, so I found these two kids and their dad quite friendly. I was 14 and skinny, but I cast a long shadow. I would have gone with
@mightbeautistic One son was pulled out of class 1/week for a “how to make friends and ask if you can play, too” class with other kids identified by the teacher as possibly benefitting from it. Son wasn’t diagnosed. I saw some materials and wished I had the info as a child. The Rule Book of Life!
@RebornRuffian12 We all need someone who can appreciate us for our authentic selves. It isn’t innately offensive. Although it could be, If, say, I saw this diet program and thought of you. However, they might not understand why you thought of them, and assume it’s not good. So spell it out?
@Call_Me_They much so that he used to crow out, “oh no! Don’t be happy! Bad things happen when you are happy!”
Probably not the message Heart was trying to teach him :)
A writer should have a vision, though, of the arc/growth of the character. I guess I’d rather a happy ending than bitter.
@Call_Me_They a nice direction instead of one that is hopelessly pessimistic.
In discussing story structure with our very young son, my Heart told him that conflict is the heart of the story, and if your story isn’t at the end, happy circumstances mean something bad is about to go down. So
@motiblackart That’s why secrets aren’t helpful. People always/often imagine worse that the truth. They also live in a bubble where they HAVE to try to figure out these things because no one overshare as like those of us with the ‘tism!
@adhdautisticguy Considered these questions you are ready to admit to your mistake. This discussion should happen asap. Better to demonstrate you are taking responsibility and showing growth and maturity.
This strategy helped me deal with the anxiety of making mistakes. Big ones! No ulcers!
@adhdautisticguy I had this boss that was a real jerk, but he did teach me something I’ve found valuable—everyone makes mistakes, but each time you do…
1) why did you do that?
2) what can you do to fix it or make it better?
3) what can you do to try to not do it in the future?
Once you have
@motiblackart Got married when we were 20 and 21, and we will both be 60 on Monday. (He’s already 60, and I catch up. ) 40th wedding anniversary in 2024.
I actually made friends on college, and as a part of a Camp Fire family program with our child
Started life so very lonely.
@motiblackart My parents (mom) pushed me to make friends all the time. My little sister loved to point out to me that no one liked me and i didn’t have any friends.
I was pretty miserable until I met Heart when I was 15. I needed a friend—not a boyfriend. We have been dating since we were 16
@Call_Me_They I just started watching tonight! I had heard the movie was bad. I am fairly impressed with the show. Follows the book rather well, and the acting is pretty good. Hey! Lin Manuel Alexander Hamilton is in the show!
@menacingsqrrl love to attend his events and hear him play. I love it when he practices. Last night he practiced for an hour around 7pm and then for at least another hour after 11pm. He knows he is always allowed to play music at any time
@menacingsqrrl Sorry, no. I would prefer to be completely naked, and never leave the house. Clothing is all the Wrong Fabric. I like some persons but People are not…healthy for me. Our youngest plays the bass in a youth orchestra, and is currently trying to get accepted to a music school. I do
@Call_Me_They If someone wants to really spend time on their character and make them interesting, and not obnoxious, then sure, be a gnome. I prefer a player who is excited for the roleplaying and not just wanting to maximize a star.
