Hopefully the new members realize that Council created and authorized the funding of the DSCID, to identify and act on opportunities to improve downtown. Rejecting their proposals is crazy. It should be a formality, not a challenge to the work they do.

At council’s organizational meeting, State College Borough Councilman Evan Myers reintroduced the Summers on Allen temporary pedestrian plaza proposal. Was voted down 4-3 in December but will be on council’s next agenda on Jan. 13. 2 new council members could turn the vote
