@heykayadams@Keenan13Allen My only concern is Him and Ladd are pretty similar in play style and both better utilized out of the slot. Ladd didn’t look nearly as good as his first year. Now maybe it’s because of Greg Roman’s lack of creativity, who knows.
The Justin Herbert blame discourse for the #Chargers team’s lack of playoff success is mind-numbing, peddled by those who refuse to or are unable to live in a nuanced and contextual world.
Given the real and glaring and well-documented issues this team had from a roster and offensive coaching POV, the *only* way this team stood a chance to overcome it all and win was if:
A: Defense played ELITE and,
B: Justin Herbert was Superman
Did Herbert miss a few throws and/or reads vs NE? Absolutely (every QB does).
But the team didn’t lose because Justin Herbert was terrible. They lost because Justin Herbert wasn’t *Superman* to save them from the numerous issues they had stacked against him/them that night. He simply was not enough, and we’ll never know if anyone could have been.
Go ahead and slander 10, count him out at your own peril. Real ones know his worth.
