Watched the final episode. Took my wife to the hospital (last photo of us) as she could not remember how much food to give to the dog, did a brain scan, was told the cancer had gone to her brain & had 2/3 weeks to live. Died 3 weeks to the day. This show is so spot on #AfterLife

@emmajames84 @rickygervais So sorry for your loss, my wife passed away in Nov 2020 of cancer, I had 3 weeks notice, every loss is different, unlike Lisa, her cancer was in her brain so she had no idea, which was good, but we could not discuss our 40 years of love & togetherness. #afterlife is so spot on

@rickygervais We were together for 40 years, i still cry at least once every day. I am so sad for her life unlived. She had so much more to live for.

@rickygervais My wife past away in Nov with Brain Cancer, she was only 67, we only had 3 weeks’ notice, we have no kids, so that just left me with my dog, sound familiar. I have to say After Life is spot on to the emotions you go through, not sure where you did your research but it’s so true.
