This is an account devoted to understanding others. Understanding your 8 cognitive functions will unleash fulfillment. You are responsible for You. Go!
Ja is a good study on an ISTP that feels “behind” in their growth progression. This l ruined D-Rose’s career. He got injured, tried to make up for lost time and kept re-injuring. ISTPs must remember that there is no “behind.” You’re either capturing CURRENT opportunities or not.
Brittany- Kenneth: ISTJ/ISFP (0)
AD- Clay: ENFJ/ISFP (0)
AD- Matthew: ENFJ/ENTP (0)
Amy- Johnny: INFP/INTJ (0)
It’s no surprise almost all of these are 0’s. Each type has 5 “naturally compatible” types.
Why do xxTP’s troll? They are excellent information gatherers. Trolling generates reactions that give a more clear understanding of how others feel, making it easier for xxTP’s to navigate a social interaction. They don’t pick up on social cues as effectively as xxFP’s or xxFJ’s.
Inferior functions function as constants at times. We decide our motivations, values, outlook, etc. that we want to store in our inferior function and throw it in the back seat to readdress another time (stress permitting).
Why we each need our inferior function (a thread):
ENFJs & ESFJs: Introverted Thinking helps you maintain a sense of what's reasonable & logical. It forces you to face your worldviews & beliefs and check them for consistency.
Susan has probably already read this but “Flow” by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi is the book that will test your ability to understand human experience and challenge all perspectives you currently have of it.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a major bookworm. I'm ALWAYS looking for new books to add to my list! What have you read that's made the biggest impact on your life? State your type in the comments!
You cannot feed the shadow functions without pursuing experiences that support your preferences on how you view the world. Bending your identity bc you think it supports your shadow is rushing (and therefore slowing) personal development. Always consume within your preferences.
Personal opinion: You're better off working on developing your top 4 functions rather than bothering with the shadow functions. When your top 4 have become a well-oiled machine, they'll typically account for what you lack in your shadow.
It’s worth noting that JP, being an ISTP is in a situation where it is real. ISTP’s are very private with their internal feelings. Cameras present while he explores his feelings with the person he loves is probably uncomfortable.
#LoveIsBlind JP and Taylor. ISTP-ESFJ relationship (very compatible). Taylor has spent the 5th episode asking JP to affirm her anxiety about how he feels about her. She has done so by assuring him and wanting him to do so in return. This is the wrong approach with an ISTP…
ESFJ’s approach affirmation directly with people they are comfortable with. “Tell me you love me” or “you hurt my feelings when you didn’t apologize” is very good for the ISTP who appreciate good communication because they struggle with their feelings.
ISxP (Si): Who did I give my commitment to?
ESxJ (Se): Who did I trust with new experiences?
We can’t avoid people but our subconscious cannot withstand constant change. That’s why these questions ring true for each type. Choose your people wisely.
Much of life’s relationships and the value associated with it is boiled down to our 6th function. For each type it looks like this (a thread):
IxTJ (Ti): Who did I trust with my incompetencies?
ExTP (Te): Who would I do anything for? No questions asked.
IxFJ (Fi): Who did I let have my true feelings?
ExFP (Fe): Who was I willing to take care of/nurture?
IxNP (Ni): Who did I give my curiosity to?
ENxJ (Ne): Who did I restructure my life for?
Extreme introversion is equally unhealthy. Loops that take place in your conscious mind prevent you from taking action and sending that external experience to your subconscious mind. Every second spent in a loop is a period of 0 growth. Externalization has to take place somehow.
