This was something that saved me, especially in the beginning of brain injury life. It felt like forever but it never actually lasted that long.
So if today is that day, it's almost over and there will possibilities tomorrow.
Do you think this is why those around us demand that we be who we were before brain injury too?
It would be too hard, too inconvenient, to uncomfortable for them to help? Exercise patience?
It's too bad there are so many living in this situation. That's why we need each other
Recovery after brain injury is a long process. Rarely is it a simple or direct process. Nothing about living brain injury life is straight forward.
There's frustration, set backs, uncertainty, confusion.
So take today to be proud of what you've accomplished!

Brain injury can make you feel like you are less. Less than everything but especially less of you.
You are brave, capable and significant even if you don't feel ir or it seems like brain injury took it

Never appreciated the gift that a day is until I knew that a day w/o someone is such a real possibility. #Braininjury almost took them away. Even though life since injury is different & can be harder, I'm grateful for the gift of a #GoodMorningTwitterWorld
I hate brain injury. But it did make me a better person. I'm more patient. I'm more compassionate. I'm less judgemental. I want to help more people. I am more proud of who I am now than I ever was before.
