[British Beer & Pub Association @beerandpub]

🗣️Our sector has a distinct history, character, and culture that sets it apart from the rest of the UK."

WBPA Chairman, and @brainsbrewery CEO, Nick Payne, speaking at today's State of the Nation report launch.

It is vital that policymakers and politicians from across Wales recognise the challenges ahead for the sector and act on our suite of policy recommendations. This will allow pubs and breweries across Wales to remain at the heart of their communities.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿We've been in the @SeneddWales today to launch our inaugural The State of the Nation 2025 report.

Welsh beer and pubs contribute more than £1.5 billion to the economy and support more than 68,000 jobs, but rates, taxes, and EPR fees all undermine its potential.

A big thank you to @RebeccaEvansMS and @SKurtzCWSP amongst many others, for joining the WBPA's important conversation on how the Senedd can support Welsh brewers and pubs to ensure they remain the heart of their local communities and economies.

It was great to see so many of our fantastic members @brainsbrewery, @ABInBev_EU, @MolsonCoors, @punchpubs gather to discuss how we can unlock the potential of our sector and create even more jobs, boost the nation's economy, and drive growth and prosperity.

[Insider @insiderwales]

The new managing director of historic Cardiff-based Brains Brewery has told Insider of his hopes that the business can still be here in another 140 years, saying the brand has to "move with the times and continue to diversify".

@VernonArmsL2 @LiverpoolCAMRA We love a taste of the good life ! Would you like a new pump clip :)

[The Vernon Arms @VernonArmsL2]

One of our regular cask ales: The Rev James from @brainsbrewery is on the bar @VernonArmsL2

Pale brown, it's malt & fruit aroma and flavours dominate the taste. An easy-drinking beer of deceptive strength.

ABV 4.5%, £4 pint. A taste of the good life!

Delighted to find @brainsbrewery have recovered from their financial problems & are brewing a big range of beers now sold far beyond Wales. The classics remain core brands. Reverend James the leading ale. Good to see my favourite Dark, & their huge commitment to Cask.
