We live in a life of PR.
As huge as Coca Cola is, they still do PR.
Aramco is such a huge organisation, yet, they’re the top sponsor for the World Cup. Their adverts are everywhere.
McDonald’s has Lamine, Ronaldinho, and the likes as ambassadors for the World Cup. They’re already known don’t forget.
An active footballer also needs PR. Nobody is above PR.

After the Fresh Fruit Bunch are Harvested, how long do they stay before Processing?
This Is the First Determinant.
2. The Middle
How well does your Digester work?
3. The end

This tells if you're going home profitable or not.

🚨 🗣️ Zlatan Ibrahimović on comparisons between Lisandro Martínez and Gabriel Magalhães:
🗣️Gabriel is a strong defender, very aggressive, very good physically. But Lisandro Martínez has something different personality. He plays football like a warrior.
🗣 People always talked about his height, but football is not boxing. Defending is about mentality, intelligence and courage. Martínez has all of that.
🗣 When I watch Lisandro, I see a defender who takes responsibility. He wants the ball, he wants pressure, he wants difficult moments. Not every centre-back has that mentality.
🗣 Gabriel is very good for Arsenal, but Martínez changes the energy of an entire team. That is why Manchester United fans love him so much.
I think I understand the reasoning of Ronaldo fans claiming FIFA is backing Messi.
They simply cannot fathom that Messi ought to be better and out-achieve Ronaldo.
Therefore, there must be something else at play other than sheer ability.
So, when they both had 5 balons, the award was fair.
But the moment Messi had more than Ronaldo, it suddenly became a 'journalists voted award that's lost credibility.'
When Ronaldo had more FIFA Best awards, it was prestigious.
The moment Messi had more, it became rigged and corrupt.
Before the 2022 World Cup, the trophy was the most prestigious in the world.
Ronaldo said it was his dream to win it.
Ronaldo said it was the most difficult to win.
But the moment Messi won it, it instantly became a 7-game tournament without prestige anymore.
Ironically, Ronaldo is fighting hellfire and shouting 'I'm back' in the 7-game tournament again.
Before 2022, Messi was mocked for missing a crucial penalty in the final of the World Cup.
Now that he didn't miss the last one, it is now FIFA that rigged it for him.
So, the reasoning is simple.
If Ronaldo has more than Messi, it is fair.
If Messi has it more than Ronaldo, it is rigged.
That is why they don't see how the most obvious FIFA bias favors Ronaldo.
It was to make Ronaldo win Balon in 2013 that the voting was extended for the first time.
Ronaldo was meant to have a 3 game ban. FIFA postponed the punishment.
But all these do not matter. We don't focus on them because we leave the talk for the pitch.
That's sadly a luxury that Ronaldo fans do not have.
They support a player who is absolutely done when the task is to play football.
So they resort to mindless conspiracies no one believes.
Few Nigerians have foresight. All they can think is: “Alex should be the Minister of Education.”
Alex Onyia is way bigger than such position.
I know you people don’t have the capacity to influence future events, so your ambition is limited.
Touching
Reverse in my case when Arsenal lost the UCL final.
I was consoling my visibly heartbroken boys in the sitting room and forming emotionally unshakable dad, telling the boys to get used to it as an Arsenal fan, that me I had been supporting Arsenal since 1999.
After that, I entered my bedroom and was gazing at the ceiling for 5 minutes.
I thought I had outgrown emotional attachment to Arsenal and Nigeria. That burst of emotions still comes once in a while after every major disappointment😀
This guy has won the World Cup, he’s beaten France in an all-timer final. He’s won two Copa Americas in a continent where they play their games on 2x and kick the shit out of you.
Yet, Cape Verde is the number 1 team that has shaken him. I mean, shout to Cape Verde once again.
I really love that we are bringing attention back to STEM among young people in Nigeria. There was a time topics like these won’t even make a ripple. Next year we go for gold
Egejurum Onyedikachi is at the Colosseum.
As we wait for our results to get our gold medals, the adventure begins.
We will make this experience unforgettable.
Look at America, Europe and Canada today.
Indians are leading top companies, building global technology, running hospitals, teaching in world-class universities and occupying important positions across the world.
Look at China.
They moved hundreds of millions from poverty to global power by taking education, science, engineering, manufacturing and national planning seriously.
None of this happened by accident.
Nations that invest in human capital eventually export influence.
That is the path we must take.
We are not grooming children just to survive Nigeria.
We are grooming a generation that will compete with the best minds on earth.
Our education must move from survival to global domination.
I had a chance yesterday to have a video call with the youngsters @winexviv took to Rome to represent Nigeria. They seem pumped and ready to win all the way.
Their teachers also shared their own personal journeys with me and I got to understand their passion and commitment to education and their students.
All I can say is that I’m grateful for folks like Alex, and a lot of the incredible teachers across the country laboring in tough circumstances for the future generations.
We will do our best to support them and work with them, for the sake of our collective tomorrow.
The best part about this Bubista feat is that HE BUILT A FORMIDABLE TEAM BEYOND THE STARTING 11.
20 of his 26 players actually played in the World Cup.
TWENTY.
That means only 4 outfield players and the 2 reserve goalkeepers did not feature in the 4 matches they played.
When you take into consideration that none of their matches was a dead rubber game, hands down that is the most impressive team ensemble and team trust by any coach actively competing at the World Cup in recent history.
Spain, Uruguay and Argentina
Football powerhouses.
All World Cup winners.
6 world cups between them.
None was able to beat Cape Verde in 90 minutes.
What a performance!
🚨❤️🩹 Lisandro Martínez: “I was considering RETIREMENT from football after I suffered ACL injury last year”.
“I just didn't want to suffer anymore, you know?“.
"I was really hit low, but then my daughter was born, and that kind of balanced everything out for me”.
“I saw how my wife gave birth and the immense effort she made, and I said to myself: How am I not going to keep fighting?”.
