HC sets aside convictions, quashes sentence in first referral from Te Kāhui Tātari Ture (Criminal Cases Review Commission). Mistaken age of appellant resulted in him being dealt with in NZDC, not Youth Court, at age 15 and serving sentence of imprisonment.

@BexGraham This is such an important study - I think most people working in this area knew this already but actually having the data to prove it is fantastic!
This is a really interesting new paper showing the importance of intersectional factors in understanding diverse needs for access to justice solutions. I'd love to see something similar in NZ.
