Wow! What a fantastic experience for the children this morning when @wyfrs came to visit us.
Our favourite parts were squirting the hose, sitting in the engine and listening to the siren.

Z’s auntie, Dr Nazia came into school to talk to us about being a cardiologist. She brought in some of the different equipment she uses for us to try out and talked about her role.

The children in Reception have had lots of fun with our new topic this week. We are learning about Superheroes and this week have focused on local heroes. We have been role playing, building models and watching lots of videos and reading books about our local heroes. #uw #eyfs

We have been reading the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff.
The children have looked at different trolls and we are now at the stage of drawing our own trolls. Next we will paint them and add some collage pieces to them.
We can’t wait to see the finished trolls!

They have been on a shape hunt both in and outside of the classroom hunting for 4 sided shapes in their environment.

This week we have been reading ‘The Gingerbread Man’.
We added actions to the story to help us retell it and then begun segmenting the sounds in character names in order to write them.
