and yet our federal constitution of 1824 was based off of the Spanish Constitution of 1812. Not to mention our nations name quite literally means "The Land of the Mexica." aka the Aztecs.

It would be dishonest to say that Mexico did not take its Spanish roots as the backbone of its constitutional law after its independence with a mix of Mesoamerican and heavy Spanish influence to form its cultural identity after gaining its independence from the Spanish crown.
