One of the most iconic moments of my life, is rapping about killing myself in front of a crowd of strangers and friends. Thanks for listening to this sad lightskinded nig nog cry about women who never loved me 😭💕💅🏽
You can't make this shit up. Writer is left-wing, the story is left-wing, but because they think the evil guys are actually the good guys, it's a right-wing anime to them. These people are too stupid to be allowed into civilized society
You're not a "Black comic creator". You're a comic creator. You can literally do anything in comics. Why limit your imagination? Why confine yourself to someone else's standards? Create, write, draw, read what you want. Hopefully there's a market for it.
What does it mean to be a Black Creator?
“Your characters don’t look Black.”
“Your comics feel too anime.”
“You’re trying too hard not to give them Black features.”
These are real comments I’ve received as a Black indie comic creator.
In this video, I talk about the pressure Black creators face when their creativity doesn’t fit other people’s expectations.

I see people blaming Crunchyroll for this (and the deserve SOME blame since they're under the same umbrella.) But all your slings and arrows should be directed at Aniplex.
Aniplex does this shit ALL THE TIME.
They license a show out to America, and then once it lapses, it vanishes from markets never to be available again.
Many shows that have small but devoted followings, to ones that are CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED go out of print or leave streaming because Aniplex doesn't want to renew the license with U.S. Companies. They are not alone in doing this, but they are the most blatant.
So to anyone on JP Twitter reading this, this is why us U.S. anime fans resort to piracy.
