Brian Thompson

I'm a copywriter and community builder. I try to be great at both. I'm also a husband and dad. I try not to screw that up either.

Your plans for growth are more likely to succeed if they include lifting others up as you rise.

If you're connected in Austin's music scene (or want to be) this is a cool opportunity to be part of something special.

[CreativeMornings/Austin @CM_Austin]

We need a music booker to curate our opening performance each month. If you'd like to join our volunteer team and showcase amazing Austin musicians, please email us at Austin (at) CreativeMornings (dot) com with "Music Volunteer" in the subject line.

Social media makes it feel like achieving your goals should be like riding a rocket ship.
I’d prefer a hot air balloon.

Happy 18th birthday, @creativemorning!

On October 11, 2008, 70 creative humans gathered at @hugeinc (then still small!) in DUMBO, NYC, to hear our very first talk by Carl Collins.

Who knew that little gathering would grow into a thriving global community, an infrastructure of generosity and creativity, and a powerful friendship engine?

I love you, CreativeMornings. And I love every single human who has helped shape you, nurture you, and bring you to life over these 18 years.

I secretly believe that the ridiculous/enthusiastic faces I make while hosting is a subconscious reason that people come back to our events.
