Houston HC Kelvin Sampson - Why Coaches Fail
"I think the coaches that fail at every level, are the coaches that are passive aggressive. Passing aggressive coaches are usually afraid to hold kids accountable, they rationalize."
"If you're going to build a culture, the first thing you have to come to grips with, you're going to have confrontation."

โNegative experiences without teaching kill morale.โ
Read that again.
This is what being a โtransformationalโ coach is all about.
Are you about winning or are you about teaching?
Are you about transactions or relationships?
Your players won't thrive if you only call them out on mistakes.
Catch them doing something *right* too.
Praise effort, celebrate selflessness, acknowledge hustle.
Let them know you see their workโnot just their mess-ups.
You're at the point in life whereas there must be a Change. You won't elevate, come up, get by or go any farther than u are right now if theres not a Change. Change won't be comfortable nor is it often accepted but it's Necessary! Change Provokes Change. #CoachPrime
