This pandemic has already revealed that:
- schools are so much more than just schools.
- many people now realize how tough it is to be a teacher and that teachers are grossly underpaid.
- teachers are irreplaceable and essential to learning and education.

Last week, I attended the @PhysicsNW conference at Lake Forest High School. While there I learned many fun and interesting demonstration ideas about the concept of torque. I encourage any current or future science teachers in the Chicago area to attend. #literacies#ngss#scichat
Two weeks ago, I attended the #CRCC at Illinois State University. I watched two talks from keynote speaker Leonard Moore about giving students from diverse backgrounds real life experience & entrepreneurial qualities.
Learning about using differentiated instruction and different #literacies to tailor my instruction to my students' needs. Very interesting read. I would recommend this book to any physics teacher or PTE student who has not read it.
Although out job title may be a science, teacher, I believe one of the main goals of being a science teacher is teaching science literacies. When forming a curriculum, we need to think of what real life skills we can teach our students. #literacies

Yesterday, in my methods class, we learned about using videos for science instruction. I am really excited to show my future students many mind-blowing physics phenomena. My own video coming soon! #literacies#TCH219#PHY302

Get smarter tomorrow by attending the next @IllinoisStateU Physics Colloquium, featuring @WUSTL Kater Murch's presentation “The Arrow of Time in Quantum Measurement." https://t.co/AKLiOOhW4n
https://t.co/ynGGAjo4mR This is what learning should look like: a safe and supportive environment that allows the student to gain knowledge through hands-on experience. #literacies
