Friends and family,
I want to start off by thanking all of you for your support during the campaign. We set achievable, yet aspirational goals which sought to transform our Student Government and university into more transparent, more inclusive, and more representative entities.
We need to play an active role in recruiting student senators from different majors so we can make truly comprehensive decisions on behalf of our entire student body.
Our Student Senate is an incredibly important governing body for our campus, but at the moment, it is not currently reflective of our entire campus community.
With the purchase of the Brown Mackie campus, we have more than enough room for it, but we must invest in the development of a program and center to address this growing need on our campus.
Student mental health is an issue that is currently being overlooked by our university. We have some services (which most students do not know about) which need to be promoted, but we also need to expand the resources available to students in order to address the growing need for
positive student mental health.
We have to prioritize student mental health and figure out the logistics to create a mental health center on our campus and implement a comprehensive approach to address student mental health.
The diploma name change and delayed closing during extreme cold are two prime examples of our administration's lack of transparency. We must work to improve communication between the administration and students about these important decisions.
Our administration must improve preemptive transparency and communication with the student body by clearly explaining decisions made on behalf of students.
Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce that I am running to be the next Student Body President at @purduefw! The bold changes I've outlined in my platform are necessary to consider as we continue to redefine Purdue Fort Wayne as a unique part of Purdue University. #Brandon4PFW
